Yeah, me too. Simlink authentication just hangs. No good.

Simlink hangs when authenticating user… Frustrating…

Hi,

It was issued with access to the Simlink configuration.

To fix just follow these troubleshooting points.

  1. If you install the Simlink on macOS.
  2. if you install the Simlink on Windows.

Please let us know if the issue is fixed or not.

Worked!! Thank you. Quick one, why is Simlink separated / stand alone from charts?. Shouldn’t it be embedded into the Navigraph charts app/program, i/o separate installation. And giving the user the ability to disable moving maps within charts?. Thanks

It is currently separated for historical and cross platform reasons. In time it is planned to be fully integrated into Charts.

You can toggle Moving Maps in Charts :

Thank you Ian, yes I can toggle Moving Maps within charts, I meant more from an installation and integration standpoint. It would be lovely to have Simlink embedded into charts on a single installation i/o 2 different installations and programs running side by side. Glad to hear its in your roadmap as well as Vatsim integration. Cheers

Hi Vishal

Here is what I have done following your instructions:

Closed Simlink, Navigraph Charts and X plane 12.
Went into library, located Navigraph chars folder copied to desktop as backup.
Deleted Navigraph Charts folder from Library/Application\Support folder and restarted Simlink. I was prompted to link account which I did.

I now have Simlink running but it doesn’t automatically launch and connect when I launch x plane 12 as it was doing. I have to manually launch Simlink by clicking the icon in the task bar… But I can live with that!

Thanks for your help.

Iain

Hi,

Please reinstall the Simlink Plugins for the installed Flight Simulator. After reinstalling Plugins, Simlink will start automatically with X-Plane 12.

Kind Regards,

Hi Vishal

I have done that and Simlink does launch with X plane 12 (I think it was anyway), however I have to open Navigraph Simlink Status box from icon in top of screen where it states under the general tab: 'Broadcasted flight data to server successfully’ , but it doesn’t activate the moving map icon in charts until I click on the 'retrieve flight data box’…. Then the moving map icon appears.
