A failed request isn’t a good enough reason to force signout IMO. You should only do that after a successful request that returns a negative result. I.e. the server actually tells the client the credentials are bad.
This issue is now even worse than it’s ever been. I used to be able to sleep my PC from time to time and have it not sign me out but SimLink is ALWAYS signed out now, no matter what, and as of the last week or two, every time I get kicked I have to quit the Charts app and re-open it to get Charts back online—it will not refresh with my credentials after signing in via my browser.
I do truly appreciate the new features and have loads of respect for the overall effort of the Navigraph team—it’s a wonderfully designed tool and a real treat for the eyes with it’s world class UX/UI design. And yet, this problem is perfect example of a dead end user experience. I had to stop on a taxiway and tell ATC to wait on me yesterday because Navigraph had again signed me out for some reason. There has got to be a way to deal with this. This is the only APP installed on my PC that has this issue and this has been a problem for well past a year now.
I only recently started using a VPN regularly and this problem precedes that by many many months, and again, I only have an issue with Navigraph apps signing me out, but I’ll try disabling for the next day or two.
No blocks set up and I have only the default Windows security software installed, so no third party security apps.
Done. There was no [proxy] info in the .settings file. I cleared out the Navigraph folder as instructed also.
No difference without the VPN, sleeping my PC still always signs me out of SimLink and does not sign me back in.
My position will also no longer show in Charts, after signing in to SimLink, unless I relaunch the Charts app. I just keep getting the following error:
Hi! I just wanted to jump in on this… I have also been having this issue with Charts for at least the last month or so. After a system sleep, Charts will sign me out. However, I can sometimes/often times get it to log me back in just by closing Charts and reopening it. So, it is remembering my account and keeping the login session alive somewhere, it just seems to “forget” that I was logged in.
I have been having this issue on my Mac with Charts Desktop for months, and it is so annoying. My sim is running on my Windows computer, so this is not a Simlink issue for me. The Charts app requires sign-in after every sleep. I am on the latest version, and it has been an issue for the past several versions.
I fully support that. I have just joined the subscription, and several times per day i need to re-sign. This is especially painfully in VR where you have to remove your headset, then type the code etc…
