SIMLINK could not connect to simulator. SiMLINK needs to be running

I have tried several things. Form re installing all downploads and trying various browser.

But it seems that within CHARTS I can not activiate the arrow to view my plane live. Every time I got the message that SIMLINK could not connect tot simulator.

To give answers to the following questions (as ever asked by Vishal Ahit from Developer and Technical Support Navigraph) in July 2024 to another person:

  1. What is the name and version of your operating system?
  2. Is your OS language English or another language?
  3. Do you use Google Chrome as your default browser?
  4. Is your system’s date and time, including the time zone, set to auto-sync with the internet?
  5. Are you using any VPN or proxy settings? (If so, please disable them and try again).
  6. If you have any antivirus installed, please ensure that the Simlink application is allowed to access the internet.

Answers:

  1. Windows Home 11, x64 processor, Intel(R) Core™ i7-14700K 3,4 GHZ

  2. Nederlands

  3. Opera as default browser (but I also tried EDGE)

  4. Auto sync with internet

  5. I do have a subscription VPN but that VPN is not operating

  6. I have an ESET home account working, but no idea how to get SIMLINK properly allowing
    SIMLINK.

I have the MSFS2020 siomulator.
I have several times uninstalled and re-installed all the downloads. With ESET as AV turned off.

So plz help me out

Rob Zwart

I just saw that in SIMLINK the UTC time is exactly 2 hours earlier than my actaul time here in Holland/Netherlands. Has that perhaps something to do with the problem that simlink can not connect to simulator ??? I even can not retrieve flight data or whats so ever. It is stated that it is SIMLINKversion 1.1.39.1902

I will show you what is in the appdata simlink_2025-06-24.dlog:

[2025-06-24 13:35:02] [1.1.39.1902] [INFORMATION] Configur ation (Simlink) file or folder is missing. Recreated!
[2025-06-24 13:35:03] [1.1.39.1902] [INFORMATION] OIDC_refresh_tokens_CALL
[2025-06-24 14:03:44] [1.1.39.1902] [INFORMATION] OIDC_refresh_tokens_CALL

I just removed msfs2020 and re installed it. Again downloading 129 gb…and finally I saw it working. The pink arrow representing my plane. I do not know why this could be the solution…but whatever. Unfortunately i did it without help from navigraph. Pity.

Hello,

Welcome to the Navigraph forum.

Please send us Simlink status windows screen shot while you running the flight into MSFS.

And also make sure that you have to use same Navigraph user in both Simlink and Navigraph Chart application.

Thank you!

Thanks for reply. However I have found my solution. As stated above I uninstalled MFSF2020 and the I re installed everything. And again also LogMicrosoftFlight Simulator. As alle the panels must function. Before all of this I followed all your responses to other memebers. I repeated everuthing. All of that did not work for me. Though, I learned a lot
