Simbrief website acting very strange

Hi,

Not entirely sure if it’s right to post this here, but it’s my best option.

The Simbrief dispatch site after a generated flightplan, acts completely weird. Boxes and map gets a “dark grey box” over it. It’s like there is some strange sort of graphics issue. I’ve only experienced this issue on the Simbrief Dispatch site. Everywhere else, everything is just fine.

The “boxes” do somewhat react to where my mouse curser is, but I don’t see a pattern. I’m using Chrome, and if I try Edge everything is fine.

I’ve downgraded and again upgraded my graphics driver, reinstalled Chrome, cleared all cookies and other browser related stuff.

Does anyone have any idea of what could cause this?

There’s already like 5 other topics on the subject. One of them has a suggested workaround.

I only found one other topic, and there the workaround was using Edge. I found that too, but it’s still a very strange issue.

It seems to be related to how Chrome is rendering the graphics.

Changing to “OpenGL” or “D3D9” seems to solve the issue.

Using the “Small Map” option has also been reported to help: Graphic Glitches - #4 by stevieg747

Changing the ANGLE graphics didn’t help for some users, but glad to hear it helped in your case!

Best regards,

Yeah, but it could have just helped the symptom, not sure.

I noticed that removing local state file while still using D3D9 seemed to work on an already made flight plan, but the issue came back the next time around. So strange this.

Go to *C:\Users* YourUsernameHere \AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data
Find and delete Local State file. You’ll probably need to login to Chrome again and do all your settings again.

This may or may not help.

For now I’m still using OpenGL but have heard that it’s slower and uses more power. Not sure.

Hi… It hasn’t for me. Just for info.
Thanks.

Allright. Strange issue this.
I’m on Win 11, 4090 with next lates gpa driver xx.44

Just to follow up, I have released an update that I think might prevent this from happening.

Please try again and let me know if you still have this issue in SimBrief.

Cheers,
