When I select the View Simbrief OFP function, the OFP data window fails to load and I get this error report:
“Unable to load Simbrief OFP. It might have expired.”
I get this for any flight plan I load, even past flights that had no issue like this.
This error report occurs on both the Desktop and iOS versions of your app.
Hi, SimBrief flight plans are only stored on the server for a limited time (around 1 week).
The workaround would be to generate (or re-generate) a flight on SimBrief, and then re-import the new flight into Charts by clicking “Import Flight” and then “Import from SimBrief”.
I suspect you are simply re-loading one of your previous Charts flights, but if the flight is over 1 week old the SimBrief OFP is likely no longer available.
Best regards,
It was a flight I made today but i did load it from a flight I created a few days ago and then made some edits to the current weather, SID/STAR and runway assignments prevalent from today’s ATIS.
So I quickly created a new flight just now and it seems to be working again.
It’s weird because I have loaded older flights and edited them with updated info and it has worked in the past, but I do for the vast majority of time create new flights for my regular airline destination schedules.
Thanks for the info. Should this occur again in regards to a new flight plan, I’ll post about it here.
