SID STAR No longer appearing in MSFS Steam anymore

Hello,

I’m running MSFS (Steam). Navigraph Hub indicates that simulator base packages are installed (latest Airac Cycle 2404 rev. 1). I noticed that SID /STAR/waypoints no longer appear either in MSFS flight planning, nor in the imported flight plans made in Simbrief. Everything worked before with PMDG, Fenix, Latin VFR, Horizon 789, FBW 320N, etc, now there’s no longer SID/STARS/WAYPOINTS at all.

Everything was working before in MSFS, all add-on aircraft navigation, etc. Now there’s nothing except departure and arrival airports (with no waypoints in between, just default departure/arrival, automatic departure).

I have no clue what’s happened aside that Navigraph hub crashed briefly whilst updating to Airac Cycle 2404 rev. 1.

I’m hoping that someone has a solution.

Thanks for any help,

Marco

Hi Marco,
there was no change on our side, nor do we have received any report with an AIRAC cycle issue - so something must be happen on you system. The strange thing is, when you have access to the airports the data are installed because you can´t install only a “part” of the data - thats not possible.

  • Can you show us your Community-Folder please?
  • Do you have installed any 3rd party scenery? When yes, how looks your content.xml file?

Thank you,
Richard

I reinstalled Navigraph (earlier today, same with conent.xml), ran MSFS, no dice. No SID/STAR/WAYPOINTS anymore, just direct departures and arrivals. I’m stymied. Planes still load as do sceneries…

Regards,

Marco

Ok, you have many 3rd party packages, and a lot of them seems to be sceneries.

I would recommend to move all packages outside the community folder, excluding the navigraph-folders. After that, start the sim and try it again. I’m pretty sure that any package “blocks or breaks” the navdata.

Cheers
Richard

Hello (again),

So, what I did is I removed all the Navigraph Hub installations from MSFS and addons, then shutdown MSFS, then restarted MSFS without Navigraph Hub, all the SID/STAR/APPROACHES were now there! BUT, when I shutdown MSFS and reinstalled Navigraph Hub, restarted MSFS, the SID/STAR/APPROACHES were now gone?! Back to point-to-point with no SID/STAR/APRROACHES, etc. I am really stymied as I have never had a problem like this before…

Note on this screenshot that somehow the correct routing is showing STAR/SID/APPROACH is showing on the map, but not the routing, nor on the FMC…

Stymied.

Regards,

Marco

Marco,
I mean exactly the other way:

Move all folder from the community folder somewhere outside, excluding the navigraph-navdata-base and the navigraph-navdata folder.

After that, restart the sim and check if you can select the terminal procedures now. When you un-install our packages only, its clear that the stock terminal procedures from the MSFS are back because they are a fix part of the MSFS and you can’t really delete it.

What I have written before, I’m sure that any package in your community folder is the culprit and disable our package what results disabling in the whole sim.

Cheers
Richard

Hello,

I did exactly as per your instructions only the Navigraph Folders that specified are left in the Community folders. No SID/STAR procedures are available/not visible…

Regards,

Marco

This is crazy. Navigraph IS the problem. I have tried all permutations and the only time is when STAR/SID/APPROACH fail to appear is when Navigraph Hub is installed (re-installed).
So let’s Matrix this, shall we?
MSFS WITH addons planes+scenery+Navigraph= No STAR/SID/APPROACH
MSFS WITH Navigraph only= No STAR/SID/APPROACH
MSFS WITH addons planes+scenery WITHOUT Navigraph= STAR/SID/APPROACH default MSFS=working
MSFS WITHOUT any addons planes+scenery+Navigraph= STAR/SID/APPROACH default MSFS=working
Is there any possibility that Naviraph corrupted something?

Any ideas?

Marco

Hi again Marco,
thanks for sharing your output. It’s clear that in every situation, when you un-install our package, that the MSFS uses the stock navdata. There is no way, to delete or re-order the stock data - the data has internally the highest priority and you can’t move it somewhere else. It’s the same with 3rd party sceneries, in that moment, where you remove a 3rd party scenery, MSFS uses automatically the default-stock scenery

So, that it’s not suprising, that when you remove any 3rd party content, that the stock content will be used.

To your last question, if it’s possible that the data are corrupt:
Yes and no, normally there is a checksum which guarantee that the downloaded data are complete. When the checksum is different, then the download failed or the comparing checksum is wrong (what is very, very seldome, unlikely).

Also, it looks a very isolated issue on your system, because we don’t have receive any reports - not here, not on the MSFS forum or our ticket system. You wrote: “no longer appearing” that means for me, it was working before, correct?

Were there any chances between before and now? On the system, on the MSFS? Have you installed anything new? Antivirus, Firewall disabled?

Is there any chance to look on your system via remote connection, that I can do some checks?

Again, there must be something wrong on your system but at this stage I can’t really say what. What I can only say is, even it looks for you, it is not a navdata issue or a file issue on our side because when it would, you would see much, much, much more reports.

So, we must look what is wrong and therefore the request for a remote session.

Cheers
Richard

Hello,

I guess a remote session will have to do.

FYI: I redownloaded MSFS entirely as I have the MSFS Premium Deluxe Edition and a slow internet connection, it took this long…

Just an FYI: MSFS airplane add-ons don’t show the planned route created via NAVIGRAPH (except for PMDG 737-800 and Fenix A320 which do show the NAVIGRAPH planned STAR/SID/APPROACHES)

Marco
