Issues with Navigraph Program: Need Help and Advice

I am having problems with the Navigraph program and feel confused. I think I have paid twice and accidentally used two different accounts.

I want to clarify that I am a beginner at flight simulation and handling computers, software, and downloads. I am retired and very interested in flight simulation. I hope to learn more and continue flying for many years to come.

I play Microsoft Flight Simulator via Steam, and here are some of my issues:

  1. Aircraft position not displaying: I cannot see the aircraft position (the red triangle) on the charts menu, even though it worked when I first started using Navigraph.
  2. Program not starting: When I load Microsoft Flight Simulator, the Navigraph program does not start, and the symbol does not appear in the menu after I select a route. Do I need to run Simlink? I click on the underlined text, but nothing happens.
  3. New computer: There is nothing wrong with the computer as it is brand new and cost over 30,000 SEK just two days ago.

I am unsure what is causing these issues. Is it my fault due to my lack of knowledge, or is there something wrong with the program? I have downloaded the program many times from the website, but it still does not work.

I would appreciate any help and advice you can offer!

Welcome.

We have addressed your duplicate accounts issue in account support.

For the Moving Map aircraft symbol to appear on Charts you need to have Simlink installed on your flight sim machine.

What flight sim do you have ? MSFS, X-Plane 12, P3D etc ?
Are you running on Windows or MacOS? Which version?

After you load your flight sim, you should have Simlink running. On Windows in the hidden icons, next to your time display bottom right, you should see the green Simlink icon. Please click on this:

Thank you for your prompt response.

I’m running Windows 11 and playing MSFS 2020 via the Steam program. Simlink is active when I start the game, but it claims it isn’t.

What should I do next?
