I am having some issues with the IOS app for apple. When I load the app the map does not load I just get a spinning wheel for a while. I have tried updating the app and restarting but it doesn’t seem to fix the issue. Sometimes it works sometimes It doesn’t.

Hi…,

Make sure your Windows Time is synced to your local time.

Try removing and reinstalling the latest Charts for iOS.

Try resetting your modem.

Hi Ian,

This is on an iPhone that I am having issues with. I have reinstalled the chart app but still seems to be doing it every so often.

Could you tell us a little more about the phone, what model and what iOS version?

Hi,

I have figured out when the issue occurs. If I load a flight plan on my phone I then close the app and re open it I get the circle with the map not loading. If I remove the route unload and then close the app it works again the map load. No issues on iPad just Apple iPhone

Just so I can report this clearly for testing, what happens when you click the unload button? does the map return? Also, if you click the unload button and close the app, does it function as expected after that?

Hi,

When I click unload the wheel just keeps spinning round. The only way to restore it is by closing the app completely after clicking unload and next time it loads the map okay.

Quite strange indeed, I cannot replicate this however can you let us know some device details

  • Model of iPhone and iOS version
  • Charts app version
