I have read all the previous posts I can find on this topic and read all the suggestions but nothing seems to work. I run XPlane 12, MSFS 2020 and 2024 on a gaming PC. I can use charts to follow my flights on that PC, on my MacBook Pro , and my iPhone with no problems whatsoever. My iPad also used to work flawlessly. I can now pull up my SimBrief plans but no moving maps will load. I get all the information re speed , heading , ETE etc on the bottom. I am running the latest version of charts, latest operating system on all devices, and the settings are the same for the iPhone and iPad. Any suggestions on getting it to work again would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
The Moving Map functionality is provided by Simlink on your FS machine, so there shouldn’t be any difference between Moving Map on your iPhone and iPad.
I think you should remove the Charts app from your iPad and reinstall it using the App Store in case it is corrupted. Also, make sure you close all apps on the iPad and restart the iPad.

Thanks Ian, I have performed both of those steps several times to no avail. It has me baffled, everything else works, the map regardless of which one I choose just doesn’t load and I get the dreaded Mac spinning wheel in the map area. I tried going to the web address as well but got the identical result as I do with the app. Must be a gremlin somewhere in the iPad itself .
I don’t understand “the dreaded Mac spinning wheel in the map area” on your iPad.
If you have Moving Map on your PC and iPhone, but not on the iPad, this suggests a problem with the iPad or its internet connection.
What has changed on your iPad or its internet connection since it was working? Have you installed some new software on your iPad? Have you changed the settings on your router?
Try connecting your iPad to the internet using a different connection, such as a mobile phone hotspot.

For what it’s worth, he probably means this:

Thanks again Ian for your continued help. Sorry the spinning wheel is just an icon that spins when something is trying to load on Mac. I have tried using my phone as a hotspot (since the phone is fine) the result is the same. Everything else works in the charts app, including loading and reviewing Jeppesen charts. my flight plan details show, I can modify SIDS STARS etc, ETA and ETE adjust in real time, it is strictly the map section that will not load. I have left it running over an hour for active flights but the map section remains blank with the wheel indicating it is trying to load. Nothing has changed with router settings. I think it has to be a glitch in the iPad itself not to worry, I appreciate your efforts.
