Desktop charts crash? Says INOP

In the middle of the flight, I got a random crash in Charts. I refreshed (via CTRL+R) and had to log back in. It happened a second time when trying to turn back on moving maps.
This is a SEPARATE issue from the known “white screen” related to online networks (I looked it up.)

Charts Desktop Build:
Version: 8.37.1
Build: 2c88326

Simlink:
1.1.37.1912

On Win11 Pro 23H2
Build: 22635.4660

The log I was able to copy to the clipboard from the first crash:

Further info,

Happens when trying to turn on moving maps in the VFR dark mode Map. Happened after a hard restart of application via closing app from Task Mngr.

I was able to have Moving maps on, but upon turning on online traffic it goes “INOP”
Or vice versa. I can have online Traffic, just no moving maps. Not sure which the issue.

Waypoint not the right “sprite” ? Not sure what yall call it

reinstalled due to bad “sprites” thinking something in a .JSON corrupted.
Turned on Moving maps just fine, Online traffic Fine for other Aircrafts. Issue seems related to ATC? turned on Online Traffic → ATC…INOP.

Similar issue, but that’s related to the 24 In-Game EFB. This is the standalone application sooooo did I file this under the right board?

My post there was because it wasn’t clear if the user might have EFB Charts Beta.

Do you get your issue with EFB Charts Beta? If so, please ensure you have the latest.

Cheers
Ian

Ah. I’m running the Standalone Charts App on Windows. Not sure how to get the beta for that.

I don’t use the in-game in MS20 and haven’t touched MS24 due to all the issues with it thus far.

Settings:

going on 1410z and the issue has miraculously fixed itself? Maybe something in the logs can say? Or maybe there was a controller on earlier that Charts couldn’t show the coverage for?

Funny things, these computers. Glad it is resolved.

Happy flying.

Ian
