Default Climb/Descend Profile change?

Hello,
i am using Prosim737, the Homecockpit Suite.

As of any reason my T/D is never the same then in Simbrief.
Then i had a deeper look at the Desc Page Speeds in the FMC and here i see, that Prosim always plan a different setting then simbrief.
As Example , in Simbrief i can only select the default profile for descend, 78/280/250.
But Prosim plan the T/D with a descend at .72/268.
Yes, i can change this every Time in the FMC, but thats not what i like to do, also because then the descend path is too steep and i run alwa

ys in a Overspeed and need to use the Speedbrakes.

So i want to ask why i can not set a different Descend Profile in Simbrief ?
It is only a Combobox which i can not edit.

Hi, this can’t be customized because we don’t have data for different descent speeds.

Possibly a future update could add this, but it will take significant effort and there is little practical value in being able to change it. In fact many real-world airlines do not even plan the actual cost index speeds on their OFPs.

Most real-world pilots do not use the OFP TOD for anything. They instead plan their descent using the FMC or other in-flight tools. The TOD point and descent time will change a bit depending on the descent speed, but the overall fuel requirement difference isn’t that big. So from a fuel planning perspective it isn’t that critical.

I agree it would be nice to have at some point though.

Best regards,

Hello,

yes i understand your point.
but anyways, the T/D calculated by Simbrief is everytime sooo late, from this Point its absolutely not possible to reach the lower altitude.
For the TOC it is the same. The TOC is mostly not to reach, also with 100% of CI.
Have a look at this FPL, planned with a CI of 25…it is absolutely not possible to be at FL217 at ODLUN…thats just impossibe.
