DD in VOR frequence box

.

Hi. I don’t know if I am putting my question in the right place but can you please tell me what does DD mean in this picture? Thank you.

Hi Farhad,
this is only a indicator for a “DME only” VHF navaid (D). You see this on the symbol also.

Here another example, where you see it a little bit better:

FTV = VORDME VHF Navaid
FUE = DME only VHF Navaid
FV = NDB

Hope that helps,
Richard

Hi Richard.
Thanks for your answer and a precise description.
What is always indistinct for me is the second “D” next to the first “D” meaning “DME only”. I researched it on the books and charts and on the internet and what I found was just this article and I don’t know whether this acronym DD has anything to do with it.
Thank you again and if you find or read something new about it, I’ll be grateful if you let me know.
Farhad
