I have a similar issue. My iPad Pro 11 inch, is from 2019 (so not really legacy I hope), and running on iOS 17.3.1.
Thank you for all the feedback so far!
We have created an experimental version that we’d like you to try, as soon as Apple is done reviewing it. I will provide you with further instructions as soon as they are done with it!
Kind Regards,
Malte
HI,
I also have the same problem with version 8.33. My Teclast M40 plus tablet has become very slow. It worked fine with the previous version
Sounds good. I’m happy to test and provide feedback
Ditto, for me as well!
Hello everyone!
Apple has approved the build. In order to access it, you need to install TestFlight on your iPad.
Then press the link below to join the tester group!
The link should contain some guidance as well.
Let me know if you have any issues!
Kind Regards,
Malte
Good news. I’m testing it today.
After a few minutes of testing, it seems very promising. Snappier, and handles change of runway again (previous build did not manage this).
Any chances for Android ?
Sure! We don’t have a good distribution channel set up for Android testing, but here is an APK that should do the trick!
https://dl.navigraph-cdn.com/misc/temp/8.33.1-patch.apk
Let me know if it doesn’t work! Make sure to uninstall the existing version from your device first, before installing this one.
Kind Regards,
Malte
I’ve done some flights now with it, and it seems to be like the previous version (not the latest), so I can confirm it is working fine on my iPad Pro with the current iOS
Thank you but i dont see any difference. My main problem is the non-functioning map change and filter buttons. Do you think it is the fault of my device?
It looks on my Samsung S7 tablett now much smoother Thanks!
Same issue here on a Samsung S6 Lite tablet.
App was working fine until the last update, which has made it considerably more unresponsive (slower). It is so slow that it is very very annoying to use when you have to change an arrival runway/STAR/procedure.
Interestingly enough, when using the webbased charts (charts.navigraph.com) in either Chrome or Vivaldi browser on the same tablet, it is much more responsive and far better usable (but it has some other annoying quirks, e.g. not running full screen).
I really hope something can be done about this, because I would hate to have to use a second screen on my PC just for Navigraph, when it was such fun to use on a tablet up till now.
Thank you for the report @CatoHauk and @DEAQUA ! Much appreciated.
If I am not mistaken, that does not sound like an issue covered by this topic? If it is completely unresponsive (and not just slower than the last update), please create a new topic instead.
Did you try the new version that was linked to earlier in this topic?
Kind Regards,
Malte
@skysail I had missed that patched version. I have installed it on my tablet and it is much better now. Looks like the in-browser version is still a little bit faster, but it is marginal. This patch makes the App usable/enjoyable for me again. Thanks a lot!
Thanks for the confirmation! We’ll release these changes officially within the coming days!
I’ve been using the patched version for iOS for the last couple days, certainly feels faster and snappier, like it used to be. Great work and thanks providing a swift solution.
I can’t use TestFlight as it requires iOS 14 or greater and my iPad is too old to run that iOS version.
So I guess that I’ll be able to try this fix when you guys are finished testing it and then upload it to the App Store.
Am I correct in this assumption?
Yes, that is correct! The update has been submitted to Apple and is awaiting their review before we can release it. Should be a matter of hours to days!
Kind Regards,
Malte
Ok Malte, thanks for the confirmation and I will post my experience with the latest release when I’ve got it installed and have flown a flight with it.
