In January 2021 somebody made a post that he couldn´t change switch postions after the AIRAC update. It seems like that we have the same issue again with AIRAC 2402. I wanted to make a flight with the A300 earlier this day. When the plane was loaded it was not possible to change switch positions and the EFB wasn´t working corectly too. I had a look at the Log.txt and figured out the the plane was in a loop trying to load the AIRAC data. This is the cause that it doesn´t finsih to load all plugins and all the systmes in background. To make sure that the current AIRAC is the main cause of this issue I tried AIRAC 2313 and 2401. When I used these two AIRAC cycles everything was working as it should. I´m not sure if the issue comes from Navigraph or if something in the software of Inibuilds is wrong?
Hi,
I don’t have the Inibuilds A300v2, so I can only assume what happened here.
My understanding is, that the Inibuilds A300v2 uses the default data from <xp11-root>\custom data
folder. That means a lot of other addons uses the same data. I have checked the stock XP11 B737 with the current cycle - no issue. The plane loads the data as expected.
So, it looks it’s a Inibuilds issue here. Again, I don’t have this addon, therefore its only an assumption. Sorry.
Cheers
Richard
I too can confirm this problem, as I too yesterday tried to fly this aircraft after updating to AIRAC 2402 and had the same results as the above user. So I suppose for the time being I will have to revert to the previous Airac Cycle until it gets worked out.
Please check other (in best case stock) aircrafts which use the same data. When the data works there, you know that this is an Inibuilds issue and should report to Inibuilds.
Cheers
Richard
Will do thank you for the reply
@NAVData I already checked other planes and I also checked A310 and Beluga. A310 has the same issue but Beluga is working. I´m pretty sure that it has something to do with the Inibuilds plane itself the only question is why it happens only once in a while? I´m pretty sure that the next AIRAC cycle will work again. I will forward this topic to Inibuilds with the Log.txt file maybe they have a solution?
Thank you very much for your testing and also sharing your results with us.
To your question:
It could be (from experience from other similar issues) that the amount of data is the issue. The data size increasing on every cycle, but not on every record type. Possible that in some AIRACs the record type fits in their system and on the other AIRAC the record type is to large.
To be simpler (without knowing if this is really the case):
You define an array and reserve 100 elements for waypoints. AIRAC 2401 offers 98 waypoints - so it works. AIRAC 2402 has 101 waypoints, so doesn’t work and 2403 has again 100 - working again.
Please excuse the simple example but in the past on some addons this was exactly the issue.
Not sure if this is also the case here, but it looks something doesn’t work correctly in the Inibuilds addon.
I will try to compare the cycles, possible I find out if this could be really the case.
Cheers
Richard
