Updating the XP AIRAC navigation database in XP

I’m having some trouble updating X-Plane with Navigraph. I update to latest 2601 cycle but XP is stuck on 2509…huh? I did the Navigraph FMS data manager update as per pic below and shows 2601 but evry acft (including add-ons) show 2509. Am I missing something here…is there another step involved that I’m unaware of?

XP-12.3.3 and also 12.4B4, Windows 11 Pro version 24H2 (build 26100), Intel i9 14900HX, 32GB RAM, FMS data manager v1.8.14.01.30

Hi…,

This is likely a path issue on the FMS Data Manager Settings page, especially if you have more than one version of X-Plane 12.

Please see How to link two copies of XPlane12 to FMS Data Manager? - #2 by Ian

Thanks Ian, but I already linked second copy to FMS manager by using the +add ……manually linked both XP copies…….auto scan didn’t find XP12 because I re-named both XP copies as XPlane 12.3 and XPlane 12.4Beta4. Hence had to manually link both. So even though they are manually linked and path correct, and even though update says correctly updated to 2601 it just doesn’t update XP!! I did do an uninstall and re-install of FMS but same result. Also turned off virus checker in case that was the issue……so I’m beat! Left with a lame Navigraph sub it seems??.

Please recheck your X-Plane paths; they are incorrect, and the files will not be copied to the correct folder. What path have you set when you add these two X-Plane versions manually?

Cheers,
Richard

Hi Richard…….when using the +add function I point the FMS updater to the respective folder…….do I need to point to a specific place within the X-plane folder(s)?

Yep, you must select the <xp-root-folder>\Custom Data folder in the mappings.

Then save the mapping and make the update… this folder contains the XP-navdata.

Cheers,
Richard

Just tried it…fixed!!! Happy chappy now! I didn’t realise I had top point it to “Custom Data”…duh! Previously had it named as X-Plane 12 and the FMS did automatically…since I renamed to different name I had to do it manually and didn’t realise I needed to point to a specific folder…Thanks again!
