Simlink not logging in

I have the same problem. Everything was working fine, but 24 hours ago Simlink ask me to sign in, which I did (and also click on the notification to allow it to open Navigraph). But it keeps waiting for user authentication:

Screenshot 2024-10-01 092141.

When I logged in to my Navigraph account, I can see that my computer was signed in as a device.

I had signed in to Simlink for more than 10 times with the same result, i.e. “wait for user authentication”.

Hello,

I just uninstalled Simlink and re-install version 1.1.34.2901 for MSFS. I tried to login (using Chrome) but Simlink was spinning a green circle trying to authenticate me, then showing me a sign in screen again. It just keeps doing that over and over.

24 hours ago, everything was working fine for the last 10 months.

I did everything you suggested to other users, such as removing the [Proxy] section in the .settings file.

My computer clock is in sync also.

Nothing is working.

Please help.

Hello Ian,

Can you help me with my case please.

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

Welcome

I have moved your posts to this new thread so it is not lost in the other threads.

Please check you have your Windows time synched to local real time.

Also please check what has changed on your system since you could login to Simlink.

You might try reset your router if you have one.

Cheers
Ian

Hi,

Based on the issue details, it seems that Simlink is being blocked from accessing our Navigraph server by the network. Please review the following points:

  1. If you are using any antivirus software, please ensure that the Simlink application is allowed to access the network.
  2. Disable any VPN or proxy configurations on your network or system.
  3. Check your router settings for network access.
  4. Reboot your network router and attempt to sign in to the Simlink application again.
  5. If available, try switching to a different network, such as mobile internet, and check again.
  6. If the issue persists, please send us the Simlink logs file located at %appdata%/Navigraph/Simlink/logs/.
  7. That’s it!

Please don’t hesitate to inform us about any issues with Navigraph products.

Happy flying!

I am experiencing the same issue. I’ve been using Navigraph for over a year and never experienced this before. I attached today log file. The file itself is about 100x bigger than logs from other days.

I have the same issue.
Flew for 4 hours, then the MS Update came (after two complete freezes) Then at the next flight, I neeed to sign in over and over every 10 minites.
PC time is correct.

Using XP12. I have so far had to sign in with Simlink 4 times in a two hour flight. I think we can take the problem is their server end not our individual PCs.

I think from the number of issues reported having to repeatedly sign back in to Simlink. The issue is with Navigraph not our individual computers.

I’m not very familiar with the internals of navigraph, but it seems that the issue might be related to the validity of auth/login tokens. Both on my Android Tablet, and in Simlink, after a brief period 401 errors seem to pop up which require a relogin.

I just checked, since I don’t typically use it, and it seems that this only happens while the api is actively in use. For example, I don’t typically use charts on my desktop while flying, and opening it now seems to not show it getting logged out. This is just a guess/theory based on the information I see though, I could be wrong, however given that I flew hours ago in the morning without any issues, and all of a sudden things start getting logged out mid flight, I don’t think this is related to any specific hardware or OS settings on my devices.

Hello,

We are currently looking into this issue and will get back to you soon.

In the meantime, please go through the troubleshooting steps below and let us know if the issue still persists:

  1. Ensure that Proxy and VPN are disabled.
  2. Reinstall the Simlink plugins using the Simlink application. (Skip this step if using MSFS).
  3. Reset Simlink configuration by following these steps.
  4. Please send us the Simlink log files located at %appdata%/Navigraph/Simlink/logs.

Feel free to reach out to us if you encounter any issues with the Simlink application.

Everything is working now. Because this issue never happened before, I strongly suspected it was something on my end and sure enough, it was an easy fix. I decided to see if resetting my router would fix it and lo and behold, it did.

Thanks again for your assistance.

Roy

I did the following steps per your instructions:

  1. No VNP or firewall
  2. Reboot my router
  3. Synch my computer clock to the Internet
  4. Re-install Simlink

Still, it did not allow me to login. Please see my attached log.
(I did steps 1-4 yesterday also, and was able to connect, but this morning, after I turn on the computer, Simlink asked me to login again, but I couldn’t).

Please help.
