Simbrief Performance Calculator

Hi,

I am really enjoying the performance calculator in Simbrief. It is a really nice feature.

I am just wondering whether it might be possible to add runway exit data into it?

It would be so awesome if the calculations could tell us what brake setting we need to use in order to make a specific exit.

These exits could be shown on the runway diagram and we could change the brake to see where we will be able to vacate.

Or we could select the exit and then it could calculate the most appropriate brake setting.

Many thanks.

Yes, we would like to do this at some point, but it’s still a little ways off at the moment.

Cheers,

There’s a way to do it fairly well currently already. By measuring the approximate distance from the touch point to the desired exit and inserting the resulting value into the LDA dialog box that should automatically populate when you choose the airport and runway. By this means it will give you the braking needed for the inserted distance as well as the landing distance achieved with said braking intensity (or in an extreme case will report that no stopping will be achievable within that distance even with full manual braking).
