I’m a new user to the FBW A32NX and have previously been using the default Asobo A320neo (not the V2) in MSFS2020. I now know that the cockpit in the default 320 is extremely basic but lets cut straight to the point:
In the Asobo 320 I didnt need to use the MCDU at ALL to change the flight plan from Simbrief (I havent got a subscription and at the time of writing Im using AIRAC Cycle 2403)
In the FBW 32NX I need to manually change the discontinuity by inputting a SID which I get from the flight route from simbrief. But the problem is when I use the SID from simbrief it doesn’t appear in the MCDU’s listings of SIDS for the specific runway. Does anyone know anything to help me or if im doing anything wrong or even if I would have to get a Navigraph subscription (Which I am considering)
Oh wait I just made a new one from egkk -lfpg for msfs2020 A320-251N Flybywire All versions here is the route given to me by Simbrief but the SID from the route is not available in the list of SIDS in the A32NX in MSFS Ive also included a pic of my simbrief dispatch page: EGKK **/26L N0361F230 SFD1X SFD M605 XIDIL UM605 BIBAX BIBA9W LFPG/**09L
Yes, because you use different AIRAC cycles, there are differences.
You can change the SID in the sim directly to the current one (the sim uses always the current cycle), or subscribe to our service and use the current AIRAC cycle 2511 in Simbrief too.
When you use different cycles, it is clear that you run into such issues. Airways are changing, waypoints are added/removed, terminal procedures are changed, and that’s from cycle to cycle. That’s reality.
Yes, but flight plans can also be outdated, as I mentioned earlier. There are airway changes, waypoints removed/added/renamed, as well as navaids removed/added/renamed; it is not only isolated to terminal procedures; flight plans can also be invalid.
AIRAC cycles are not downwards compatible, independent of the data provider.
Ok. Thanks, Im assuming the navigraph subscription will just give me matching sids and stars to msfs. Imma end this since i think thats the final answer. Thank You Navigraph!
