I hope someone can help me or suggest things to try.
I download a flight plan via sim brief and the flight plan generated always uses sids and stars that are more current than in my fmc.
Every aircraft I own dose this too.
When selecting sids and stars for flight it’s very ver rare to get one to match up with the generated flight plan. I have all of my aircraft updated to the latest Airac but the sids and stars are always outdated by up to 3 or 4 updates.
For example MANDU7 in the flight plan, but MANDU3 in the aircraft even when it’s updated to the newest Airac cycle… what am I doing wrong?
Little bit difficult to help you without knowing the sim which you are using, which addon, a sample flightplan, …
Without this basic information, there is no chance to answer your question.
But as a general answer:
When the AIRAC cycle is also updated in the supported addon that you could use the same terminal procedures. In your example: the MANDU3 is outdated and therefore I assume, your addon don’t use the same AIRAC cycle, or the cycle is not installed correctly.
Sorry I forgot to mention which sim , didn’t think it would matter because I use the FMS data manager to keep my sims and aircraft updated. Im using the flight factor A320 U in xplane 11.55 and the fslabs A320 in P3d.
Both aircraft and both sims have this issue of the sids and stars always being outdated one or two Airac versions, yet the latest updates are installed in the aircraft when you load the MCDU up and check the nav data. See first picture.
- or rather there is no SID that matches the flight plan. this is very common on all most every flight, so I think you are correct and something is installed in the wrong location.
Its also happened in many other aircraft in the sim over the last few years , P3d V4.5 to P3D v5.3, using PMDG 737, 747, 777, Quality wings 787 as well.
Im clearly doing something wrong , but im sure the file paths are correct.
Hope this helps and you can suggest something for me to try.
