I managed to load the fix into my community folder having changed the name of the previous ‘ingamepanels’ folder. The result appears no longer ‘mangled’ however, like your screenshot before last, the waypoints are missing.
kind Regards
David

I am sorry! I assumed that “Sim updates” were a relatively known concept in the MSFS community since I see them being mentioned on other forums in the same way (SU14, SU15 etc.). I should not have assumed this! Here is the reference to the SU15 beta:
If you have not explicitly signed up for the beta through the XBox insiders program, you are definitely on SU14. The topic above and the version number in its title further confirm this! That could be the reason why it looks fine for me and not for you… That is unfortunate, but in that case, it will be fixed with the next simulator update!
Hmm, that won’t work! Sorry, I should not have assumed that you knew how to manually install addons either. It sounds like you are on the right track though! All you need now is to make sure that you remove any previous installations of the panel (any folders called navigraph-ingamepanels-charts
) and then only install it from the ZIP file that you downloaded from my link!
Kind Regards,
Malte
It worked ok, after I had installed the fix folder it worked, I then deleted the renamed folder so only one now exists. Seems to be working OK now apart from the waypoints being missing.

David
They probably are to some who have been using msfs for some time (and are a bit younger than I) but even so, don’t you think that the
Release
and support info page in the sim should at least contain the build and SU Number? Otherwise, what in goodness name is there for if not just to exasperate the non-cognoscenti like me.
Thanks for all your help - very kind (and patient).
You make a great point, it probably should. At least we figured it out now, which is great!
Hmm, they should not be missing with the updated build. Are you sure that you deleted the right navigraph-ingamepanels-charts
folder?
If you are sure, please follow these steps:
Open the simulator
Load the PLN file that you sent to me here on the forum in the world map
Start the flight
Open the panel and wait for the “Simulator flightplan detected” message
Open this URL in your browser: http://localhost:19999
You should see something like the below screenshot, click the Navigraph Charts
entry
Wait around 10 seconds for the next page to load.
You should see a debugging interface. Along the top, find the tab that is labelled Console
and click it. 9. This should present you with a scrollable list of log messages and a filter input. Please type Route detected
into the filter and press the enter key. You should see something like this:
Please take a screenshot of the result and upload it to your next post!
I realize that this is getting a bit technical, but I tried to make it as straightforward as possible. Let me know if you get stuck on any particular stage, and I’ll try to help out!
Kind Regards,
Malte
I found another issue when looking at that screenshot!
The origin and destination airports are included in the route twice. I have now fixed this!
Here is a new ZIP file which includes this fix. It also sets the panel version to 8.5
- so you should be able to verify that you have the correct version installed by looking for it in the MSFS Content Manager!
Download IGP (Dupe airports fix)

Malte
If you’ll forgive me Malte, that’s rather like asking a blind man if he has found the right room from your visual description; he’d be able to confirm if he could only see it.
What I did was I found the Community Folder in Local Cache, identified the navigraph-ingamepanels-charts folder and renamed it “xnavigraph-ingamepanels-charts”. I then extracted the fixed navigraph-ingamepanels-charts folder into the Local Cache Folder. I went throught the .pln detected process and you saw the result. I then deleted the previous folder beginning with ‘x’. Now, before I go on with the ‘technical’ bit can you confirm I deleted the right folder please?
Hahahaha, I’m sorry about the confusion! I appreciate that you are being cool about this regardless of how many small details I keep leaving out unintentionally
Based on this description, I would say that you were likely accidentally running the old version. The reason why I believe that this is the case is that you say you deleted the previous folder after you opened the simulator - which would be too late unfortunately.
So, here are a couple of new steps!
Close the simulator if it is already running
Open the community folder
Delete anything related to the Navigraph in-game panel. If I understand you correctly, you should only have one such folder named navigraph-ingamepanels-charts
right now.
Download the latest zip file mentioned in my last post (or this link)
Extract the contents just like you did the last time, and drop the result right into the community folder
Start the simulator
Within the simulator start screen, select “Profile” along the top
Select the “Content Manager” menu option
The content manager should open, and a search field should be available at the top. Press it and type navigraph panel
. You should see something like this, with the version number being 8.5
:
If you do get the correct version in the end, the import should be working fine. Let me know if you need me to clarify anything, or if it is still not working as intended!
Kind Regards,
Malte
I checked what version was showing in the Content Manager before doing anything else. It was v8.4.
So I did as you said and now it shows both !!:
I checked in the community folder again and indeed there was still ‘x’ version of the panel folder so I deleted it and tried again. Checked in Content Manager - only 8.5 showing. Checked in sim, … loaded plan and…voila !! Plan complete with waypoints.
Thank you so much for your patience and persistence Malte - I have learned a lot (but will probably have forgotten again tomorrow !!
It’s great to know that at least one of us knows what their doing (and it isn’t me).
Kind Regards
David
This is great! I’m happy that it works as expected for you now. We shall release this updated version through the official channels (the Navigraph Hub) too as soon as possible!
That’s the beauty of this forum! Both you, me and others in the future can benefit from our conversation. Thank you for sticking with me and keeping your hopes up!
Well, I did find two bugs as a result of the investigations triggered by this thread, so we can all make mistakes! The fixes will now benefit everyone, so thanks for raising this topic again!
I will now consider this topic solved!
Kind Regards,
Malte
