I currently use the Toliss A320Neo in Xplane 11. I am currently using the Current Airac cycle, However I’m unable to find any STAR or SID in the FMS for some airports. What could go wrong here?
why do some airports still have old ICAO codes ? like Kuwait International the old code is OKBK while the new one is OKKK the FMS does only recognize OKBK
I have no idea, but I can´t reproduce it because you don´t give any examples … have you some examples for us? That we can check it?
The X-Plane datasets don´t include airport-specific information (like ICAO codes, runway-idents, taxiways, …). This information comes from X-Plane itself - so we have no influence on the airport ICAO codes in X-Plane. Please report this directly to X-Plane.
thanks for the reply, yeah the airport that I have a issue with OKBK (Kuwait Intl.) Navigraph has the STAR,SID’s and even the IAP but on the FMS, I couldn’t find any STAR or SID, its just the IAP that is there
Yes, we have all this information in our charts and data, but the issue is that X-Plane uses an outdated airport ICAO code. Therefore, the FMC can´t find any information about this airport’s ICAO code OKBK because it doesn´t know that OKBK is now OK…
So, this is more of an X-Plane issue: They must change this airport to the correct airport ICAO code. As soon as they have changed the airport ICAO code to OKKK, you will see the terminal procedures in the FMS.
Please report this to X-Plane. We can´t change it because there is no official specification for doing this. Sorry.
Btw is it possible to change the code of the airport through apt.dat in Xplane 11?. If it is possible how to change it ? Because i’ve read some articles that you can change it through the apt.dat. I wanna give a shot if this possible
