No File Extension on Export

Hi, I am trying to export my flightplan as a PMDG Flightplan, but on the Desktop App, it exports the flightplan with no file extension (Type: File). I have tried with other flight plans and other formats to export, and they all export in the “File” format with no extension.

My CDU does not pick up this file type. I would like to note that the web app for Navigraph is exporting perfectly fine, but I am used to using the desktop app so I am confused as to why this is happening.

Hi…,

When you export a plan from Charts in the PMDG format, it should export as a .rte file which is then accessible by the PMDG FMC.

If not I suggest you reinstall Charts making sure you end up with Version 8.32.0
