"Navigraph Hub cannot be closed"

Have been using the hub for a long time. I noticed today that it wasn’t on my desktop for some reason so I went and downloaded the file again from the Simbrief site. When I click on the Navigraph Hub.exe (run as Administrator), after a few seconds I get an error;

“Navigraph Hub cannot be closed. Please close it manually and click retry to continue”.

Any ideas how I can manually close it and get it up and running again?

I have exactly the same issue after being prompted to update the ap. I have uninstalled it, then tried installing a fresh download and it still asks me to manually close it and gets stuck.
Can somebody shed some light on this?

Now, every time I log onto my computer, I get a Java error.

“Java error occurred in the main process
Uncaught Exemptions
(then points path to Navigraph Hub)”

Would someone from Navigraph/SimBrief please advise how to overcome this.

Thank you.

Hi Bruce,

First, please

Ensure your Java is up to the latest.

Uninstall, download and install latest Navigraph Hub.

Restart machine before running Navigraph Hub again.

Thanks Ian. While you were typing I uninstalled Navigraph Simlink and rebooted. Then downloaded it again from your site, and also the Hub (again). I re-installed Simlink and the Hub. This time the hub installed without any problems.

I’m no computer wizz but I suspect Simlink had something to do with the problems I experienced yesterday.

Steve S, if you’re reading this, Ian from support has offered a solution as well as my solution in this message.

Hi Ian,
I had the same Javascript error as Bruce.
I updated my Java to the latest version and followed your steps…no joy
Following that I uninstalled Simlink, the hub and the Simbrief downloader (that just left the charts and the FMS data manager), restarted my PC then the hub installed properly. Lastly I put Simlink back in successfully and ran the updates in the hub. I haven’t put the downloader back in yet.
I’m with Bruce in thinking the issue is a conflict with Simlink but I’m no pc guru.

Thanks for helping to resolve the problem

Steve

Hi Steve,

Can you please confirm this issue is resolved.

Hi Ian

I did post a reply in the forum explaining what I did when I tried your advice including updating Java.
The problem did eventually resolve and I got the hub to install. I had to uninstall Simlink and the Simbrief Downloader to get a result.
Thanks for your help. The support is appreciated.

Cheers

Just FYI, JavaScript and Java are 100% unrelated.

Edit: and my post is 100% irrelevant, I confused this with another topic where there was some JavaScript error somewhere. My bad :grimacing:
