Unable to re-install Navigraph Hub after HDD failure

Hi All

I recently tried to reinstall navigraph hub after a HDD failure.

Every time I try, get the following message:

“Navigraph Hub Cannot Be Closed. Please Close it manually and click retry to continue.”

Not surprisingly, it’s not running.

I have tried cleaning all reference to it out of the registry, trying installation in safe mode, but no joy.

The old disk is unreadable, so I can’t reconnect just to get through installation.

Any help would be great.

Hello! Welcome to our forum!

Could you try this?

Hi

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately, it didn’t work for me.

Any other thoughts?

Thanks

Hey all,

I recently tried re-installing and uninstalling all of my Navigraph stuff as I wanted to add the use Navigraph to TDS Sim. I haven’t used Navigraph in a while and I had it on an old hard drive before I wiped that drive. When trying to install the Hub it gives me this error.

I’ve tried uninstalling it through Control Panel, Windows Installed Apps, and trying to delete everything in the appdata/roaming, and I’ve tried installing the Hub by moving the file outside of the downloads folder.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Hello! I moved your post here since it looks like a duplicate.

The common denominator in both of these cases is that you seem to have ended up with a broken Windows registry for some reason. We don’t support installation on anything but the main C drive for many reasons, this being one of the main ones!

Was it installed on the path indicated in the second screenshot? Perhaps it could help to go through your registry and remove any keys that reference that path…

Also, make sure that no other Navigraph applications are running while executing the Hub installer. There is a known bug in the installer code (used by many, not just our app) which causes this error message to show up if there are any other applications open with “Navigraph” in their name!
It could be worth making sure that none of the following are running:

  • Navigraph Simlink
  • Navigraph FMS Data Manager
  • Navigraph Charts

Kind Regards,
Malte

Finding the path in the Registry and deleting it there solved the issue. Thank you so much for the help!

That’s great to hear! Do you remember which specific key(s) you removed?
