Navigraph Causes MSFS2020 to Hang While Loading Flight

Installing Navigraph with in-cockpit maps and Simlink causes MSFS2020 to hang loading any flight after clicking FLY, whether a .pln file is loaded or a new plan is entered using the MSFS2020 interface. To eliminate add-on conflicts as a cause, I removed all other add-ons and Navigraph is the only thing in the Community folder. Removing all Navigraph add-ons from the Community folder and re-installing other add-ons solves the problem (the flight loads) but then the Navigraph services are no longer available. MSFS2020 is up to date. Why does installing Navigraph cause MSFS2020 to hang?

Additional information. I removed “navigraph-ingamepanels-charts” folder from the Community folder and with only the “navigraph-navdata” folder remaining it still hangs. The problem is probably in that folder. Also, this is a fresh install using the latest postings on the Navigraph website.

Hi…,

Welcome.

I suggest moving c:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Content.xml to a backup.

This file will be recreated on MSFS startup.

Any improvement?

Cheers

Ian,

Thank you very kindly for that. It worked!

You are welcome. Glad it is resolved.

Happy flying.

Ian,

Well, I was able to get one flight launched after I deleted the file, but then it stopped working again. I have completely cleaned out the Community folder, added things back in in all kinds of combinations looking for conflicts or the culprit, reset the simulator without destroying its data, and none of that did anything to correct the problem. I really have no idea what the problem is.

So, I am now in the middle of completely uninstalling everything and reinstalling it all, piece by piece. I have the Honeycomb A and B yoke and throttle quadrant to configure, Thrustmaster rudder pedals, Working Title CJ4, REX runway textures, VATSIM VPilot, and all the Navigraph stuff. I’m reinstalling all of this from scratch after deleting it all (and rebooting, of course). It looks like I have a few hours to go on the installation, at which point I’ll cross my fingers and hope for the best.

By the way, I gave your advice to some guys on the Working Title CJ4 forum and they claimed it helped them.

Cheers,

-Paul
