Navigraph (and Simbrief) thinks a navaid is an airway

Hello, I’m trying to plan a fight using only NDBs from CYMM to CYRT. Along the route there is an NDB (ID=H2) that I’m trying to use.

When I plan it in, Simbrief gives this error. “Airway “H2” uses invalid endpoints”.

And Navigraph throws this error “Entry waypoint is expected for the airway H2”

H2 is not an airway. It is an NDB located at “CULLATON LAKE” (61°18’51.0"N 098°29’46.0"W)

Am I doing something wrong? Here is the full route I’m attempting.

CYMM DCT 1L DCT YSF DCT H2 DCT RT DCT CYRT

Hi…,

We shall investigate.

As a workaround you can right click on map very close to CULLATON LAKE say 611849N0982947W and add that to route after YSF.

Thank you Ian, the lat/long coords did work. I added a note in the SimBrief Dispatch Remarks with the NDB Freq so I have everything I need for a VR flight now.

After a little further investigation I see that there is actually a H2 route over in central Asia. Also a VFR waypoint in France and another in Mali with the H2 identifier. I guess the question is, how do I specify that I want to use the H2 NDB in my flight plan and not one of the others?

Thanks

We have added the need for this differentiation into our Charts issues tracker.

Great, thank you. The work around will suffice for now.

Hi…,

I am told by our developers this is resolved. Can you please confirm.

Cheers

Hi Ian, this does indeed appear to be working now. Thank you for the followup and have a great day.
