Navdata can't be updated - Inibuilds A350

After the installation of Inibuilds A350 for both MSFS2020 and MSFS2024, the default navigation data is 2303r1, and the navdata can’t be updated.

For MSFS2020, after clicking the update button, it shows DOWNLOADING for a long time and finally failed, and for MSFS2024, everything hangs and need to kill the process of the MSFS2024.

Is there a way to update the navdata manually, or some other solutions to fix the problem?

Same here. Thankfully I’m not the only one who have this issue.

I suppose that if the navdata can be update manually through Navigraph Hub, then it might be better.

Hey there, do you think you could send some screenshots from your dev console? (that can be found in the dev menu using the console button in one of the dropdowns) (and make sure to enable developer mode in the game’s settings). Furthermore, are you using SU1 for 2024, because the Navigraph WASM doesn’t run correctly on anything lower than the SU1 beta, due to some filesystem incomatibilites that were fixed in SU1.

Yeah, I checked it out. And find these message. Why the database is not open?

btw I’m using MSFS2020

Ohh my gosh me too. I thought I was alone with this. I tried to restart the flight, sim, and aircraft state and even tried a clean install. Nothing helped and It’s just stuck in DOWNLOADING forever.

If able can you go to %appdata%\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\ (inibuilds a350) and take a screenshot of the inside of work\NavigationData and try deleting the inibuilds a350 folder afterwards (this will not delete your aircraft if you didn’t go inside of community which is NOT the one I want), also if you could screenshot more of the log that would be awesome (preferrably a larger chunk)

The WASM folder? I’ve tried deleting it for several times, but it didn’t help.

I’ve deleted the folder at present and is about to go asleep, so I can’t provide the screenshot immediately, but I remember there was original 2303 navdata inside it (the NavigationData folder), three files were respectively in .json, .s3db and .txt.

As for the log, the photo above was all what I got. These messages continuously repeated after I started update, then the update just stopped and failed.

WASM folder was and has been cleared. Nothing helps.

No console screenshot? Is there any way you can take a screenshot before where it loops?

Edit: a screenshot of that navigationdata folder would be useful too, I want to see exactly what it looks like

guys I made a contact with inibuilds support and they said they’re working on it with Navigraph, maybe the issue will be solved in this week’s update

Really appreciate!!!!

This doesn’t seem too similar to anything I’ve discussed with inibuilds, do you think you could try replacing your wasm with the one linked below, would you also be able to provide a screenshot of the initilization prints like this? Also, of the download prints as well if you can. (and please leave a bit on the top and bottom so I can see that its the whole length)

EDIT: also the database not connected error while its downloading is intended behaviour so the sim will release the handle on the navdata while its getting replaced

msfs_navigation_data_interface.wasm (3.8 MB)

I too am having this problem - I’m happy to try that alternative WASM file, but could not work out where it needs to go.

I couldn’t find a similarly named file in either the %appdata%.…\packages or community folder for either Navigraph or iniBuilds folder entries

Oh my goodness I thought I wrote it out, it’s built for 2020, which would be Community\inibuilds-aircraft-a350\SimObjects\Airplanes(variant)\panel\ (the wasm goes here)

Heres the wasm for 2024, that can be put in Community\inibuilds-aircraft-a350\SimObjects\Airplanes\A350\attachments\inibuilds\Function_Interior_A350\panel\
msfs_navigation_data_interface.wasm (3.8 MB)

Sorry about that

No problems at all - thank you! I’ll have a look and report back when I can.

Same result:

  1. Created new Community Folder for trouble shooting
  2. Completely uninstalled and reinstalled A350 (cleared A350 WASM entry as well)
  3. Loaded A350-900
  4. Initialised systems, re-registered with Navigraph and clicked update data

A350-1000 had the same result

I’m trying to rule something out, did you happen to have the aircraft on launch day, AND happen to get the data installed?

EDIT: nevermind, I misread a date, disregard

No problems - I now have FS2024 running which is updating correctly. I had started to wonder if it was perhaps a permissions issue, but I would imagine it uses the same server and I’d therefore be having problems with any other Navigraph product (Hub, FMS Manager) if that were the case?

As an interim solution, if the navdata is the same between the 2020 and 2024 version, is it possible to copy/paste to the the 2020 navdata folder?

Oh yeah 100%, the data is identical, I was thinking the same regarding permissions as well, 2020 is especially funky with them to be honest
