Navaids do not have coords after installing AIRAC 2412 Beta

I have a strange issue with the current AIRAC cycle in MSFS 2024.
When starting a career mission with IFR flightplan I don’t get waypoints anymore. The flightplan is empty. If I try to manually add waypoint to my route or even add a SID in my C172 G1000, I can see the waypoints, but they don’t have coordinates so no flightpath could be calculated.

I have tried to uninstall and install the cycle again, but with no luck.
After uninstalling the AIRAC, all my Navaids have coordinates again and I have a mission flightplan.

Thanks.

Ray

Hi Ray,
Merry Christmas … :christmas_tree::santa:

May I assume that you are using AIRAC 2412 rev.2 …

Can you post an example of a flight plan that you´re using? Further, when you look on the WorldMap for such a navaid (on the WorldMap or in the in-game EFB), do you see this navaid in the correct position so does it have coordinates?

Like in my example the WGM (Wagram) VOR in the in-game EFB:

Cheers,
Richard

Hi Richard!

Merry Christmas too

Yes, I am using AIRAC 2412 rev. 2.

This is the flightplan as it should be (without Navdata installed) from a career VIP charter mission:

and the flightplan in G1000

Now, the same mission WITH Navdata installed:

and on the G1000

As you can see, the flightplan is much shorter and the SID differs slightly.
Interesting though that the flightplan differs that much. I thought those career missions were static?

At least, the flightplan is not empty. Maybe the third reinstall for testing fixed. I’ll keep an eye out IF I hit another mission with an empty flightplan.

Hi, again Ray,
Thank you very much for this detailed report. Much appreciated. I will check it …

During our development, we saw many strange things about the missions. Initially, I thought such flight plans were static routes, but now I guess the routes will be re-calculated depending on the underlying data.

A typical example is your SID example. The SID itself is the same, but Lido and Jeppesen’s waypoint naming convention differs.

Anyway, I will check your example and will try to find out what happened behind it. It’s not so easy. We may open a ticket at ASOBO/MS.

Thanks again; I have removed the auto-close feature to keep the posting open.

Please be a little bit patient, as the holidays are at the moment. Our resources are limited …

Thank you
Richard

Looks like some others on the MSFS forums had a similiar issue with VORs and empty data
