I have a problem intercepting the ILS at RJFF runway 16. Please see below video:
Hi,
First of all, well done - it looks like you fixed your CTD after 10 minutes. May I ask what the reason was?
To you report:
I think itĀ“s a configuration error on your side because when you look at 1:10:25, you see that you are not in the āmanaged descentā mode. You select the alt knob from 1600 feet back to 2000 feet manually.
So, the Airbus goes in a decent, then you correct the altitude with an expedite back to 2000 feet, and the Airbus is climbing again. All are in unmanaged mode, so the Airbus canĀ“t follow the vertical path, in this case, the glideslope. You see at 1:11:29 that the LOC is still stable, and the GS needle is coming up, but due to the wrong configuration, the Airbus misses the GS.
I have tested this approach, and it looks perfect with the correct configuration. You should fly it in managed mode (orange dot right of the altitude), like the heading for the LOC, so the Airbus can catch the GS and follow the final approach. I canĀ“t see any malfunction or issue with the navdata. IĀ“m sorry.
Cheers,
Richard
Thank you very much!
The CTD was probably from a TCAS alert, but I will review the video later and let you know if it was caused by something else.
Cheers,
Claus
