Every Airport I try in Australia and New Zealand is missing from the 2409 dataset for the base X-Plane 11 DB (e.g YSSY or NZCH) . The US data is fine. Data for other systems (e.g 737 Zibo, GNS430) seem to be fine, but standard Garmin G1000 & 530 + Boeing FMC are effected.
Sorry I forgot to add, the O/s is MacOS.
It seems your X-Plane 11 DB is suspect. I suggest you run …your X-Plane 11\X-Plane 11 Installer.exe and Update.
Then use the FMS Data Manager to reinstall your AIRAC 2409.
Cheers
Ian
I did all that and there’s no change.
Please confirm you have used FMS Data Manager to install the AIRAC update.
Please post screenshots of the FMS Data Manager showing version number, and X-Plane 11 path .
Cheers
Ian
Hi,
Additional to Ian’s request … You have an XP issue rather a navdata issue or your report goes in the wrong direction.
The AIRAC updates don’t contains any airports, only the facilities for that. The airports itself come from the apt.dat
file, which is a XP file and not a navdata file. Additional, this file contains all worldwide airports in XP and not only a subset. So, it’s not possible that some airports in a specific area are missing and some are available.
So, when you wrote that you can’t find any airports in this area you have a XP issue or you mean something else that we don’t know.
Therefore, please confirm first, that airports are missing. Which error message do you get, when you try to select the airport on the XP map?
Also, you wrote you have all the suggestions tried, to run the updater again installs the default cycle. Have you tested it, if the airports are selectable before you have tried any further update?
And last, why I wrote this:
You wrote in your initial post, that the US data are fine. What do you mean with data? The airports? Which US data do you mean?
Please try to explain us in more details (incl screenshots requested by Ian) what issue you have exactly. At the moment it’s completely unclear for me, what issue you have exactly now.
Missing airports are not a navdata issue because there are no airports included in the navdata updates .
Cheers
Richard
Try to update your Global Airports with this file:
X-Plane 11 Global Airports Update - Scenery Packages - X-Plane.Org Forum
Yes, I used FMS Data Manager. Here are some screenshots showing the FMS Data Manager configuration I’m using.
Thanks,
Damon.
Hi,
Okay, I wasn’t aware of the structure of the underlying files and data, all I knew was that I suddenly started getting errors and the only thing that I was aware of changing was the installation of new Navigraph data as I’m only a new subscriber.
I’m attaching screenshots of the errors.
The first screen shot is the error I get when trying to load a flight plan into the X1000 that was generated using SimBrief.
The next is the errors generated when I attempt to load a flight plan I previous generated and used from Little Navmap before updating my data.
And lastly the when trying to manually enter a waypoint/airport into the X1000.
I haven’t yet found any missing airports from the US, but I did find a Canadian airport CYQI missing that I’d previously flown to. And again, they’re only missing from the data that is used for the default Laminar systems, the Add-On stuff appears to be fine and I just assumed that the airports were waypoint data that was missing.
Hi and thank you,
Can you confirm, that the flightplans are built with the same AIRAC cycle 2409?
Also, can you make a screenshot of your GNS430 folder please … In the one which you have uploaded, I only see CIFP
, STSFF
and UFMC
… but no GNS430 folder.
Thank you,
Richard
HI,
Here’s a screenshot of the GNS430 folder. As mentioned it works just fine, in fact I loaded the flight plan I got from SimBrief into it just now and it all works fine.
Ok, that means it is working now - or do I misunderstanding your last posting? Or is it only working for none Australia & New Zealand airports?
Cheers,
Richard
Hi,
I think there was a misunderstanding. The Add-On systems (GNS430 and Zibo 737 FMC) have always been working well. The problem is with the base Laminar Garmin systems the G1000 and G530 etc.
Cheers,
Damon.
Hi just wanted to check if you needed anymore information from me or do you have all that you need to start diagnosing the issue?
You could try uploading using the YSSYYSCB.fms flight plan
Cheers
Ian
No problem, I just used SimBrief, but here it is.
YSSYYSCB01.fms (368 Bytes)
For Flight plan YSSY/16L N0104F130 DCT TESAT H65 CB DCT YSCB/35
Here is the result loading SimBrief plan generated on my machine.
You might like to try loading this plan from my machine:
YSSYYSCB01.fms (368 Bytes).
Here is the result loading SimBrief plan generated on your machine.
They seem the same.

in X-Plane 11, the default airports are read from Resources/default scenery/default apt dat/Earth nav data/apt.dat
It looks like this file is corrupt if a major airport like YSSY is missing from this file. My recommendation is to run the X-Plane updater, and have it repair modified files.
I did try the updater early on and it didn’t work.
What did work was completely re-installing X-Plane from scratch and then re-applying only the files from Navigraph that I knew I needed. I don’t know exactly what corrupted my data, but it must’ve been a co-incidence that it occurred around the same time I installed the Navigraph data.
We are glad this is resolved.
Happy flying.
Ian
