Can ILSs be incorporated into RPVM (RW04 109.90 IMT & RW22 109.10 IMCT)? Years-long subscriber here and always looking out for this addition every new cycle, but no luck yet. I use Navigraph on XP11 and XP12.
Hi,
I canāt find any ILS approaches into RPVM in the AIP of the Philippines. Where do you have the idents and frequencies? Have you any current official real word link to this, that we can use it for our report to Jeppesen.
Again, we need any real world aviation reference to this, for the report. Thank you very much
However, thereās no associated published ILS approaches and, according to latest NOTAMs these ILS are unserviceable (probably due to WIP on Rwy 04/22)

E) ILS CAT I RWY 04/22 U/S.
By inference, RPVM had ILS approaches until the KAL631 runway excursion accident last Oct 2022 where it struck the 04 ILS localizer. So I guess no real world RPVM ILS approaches until some real world reference comes out from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines comes out. Unfortunately, caap.gov.ph airport information isnāt available for āhobbyistsā to access and download.
Thanks however for the quick turnaround. Much obliged.
Thanks for your answer and the offering of the data. Exactly what I have seen also in the AIP ā¦ Also, I can confirm, that there is an ILS antenna + a GS antenna but I havenĀ“t found any ILS approach, possible the reason is really what you have described.
ā¦ but on the other hand - IĀ“m pretty sure, that the ILS approaches come back one day, because as I wrote, the antennaĀ“s are there (working or not working ;-))
Thanks again, and let us know, when you have any question ā¦
Have a nice day,
Richard
Would the attached be the ILS approach charts referred to? After sending you my reply, I checked an old iPad app (simplates) and found these. The plates appear to be from CAAP and indicative of real-world.
So Navigraphās FMS data, used for computer flight simulation, is basically saying: when an airportās ILS are out of service, they are eliminated from FMS data and once they are back in service, they will re-appear in the cyle update? So there is an in- and out- for ILS frequencies for all ILS all over the world as ILS are taken off and put back on in the real world?
I though you asked for published approach charts and I provided them. Now the issue is they are out of service and we canāt āsimulateā that.
Over the years, there really has been a bias against including an ILS in RPVM and Iāve always wondered why.
Thank you. I will continue to be a Navigraph subscriber notwithstanding.
Hi again,
first of all, thank you very much for your loyalty and of course your effort to help us to improve our service.
I want to clarify a few things:
We are using real-world Jeppesen data and charts (as you possible know). That means, we follow also the real-world changes - so, when a facility goes offline, out of service temporary, ā¦ you see this in our data too. Thats the reason why NOTAMS are also important for us/you, to know the changes in the data/charts. So, itĀ“s as real as it gets and we also try to simulate the reality ā¦
Hope that helps to make something clearer ā¦ at least the data are very dynamic during the 28 days period and there are a lot of worldwide changes from cycle to cycle.
