I just don't get it

I hope this is the correct forum
… I just don’t get the usefulness of my unlimited navigraph account.

I’m using it with fs2020… Pmdg b737

I’m using the in game panel… Which is exactly the same as an external window. What does “sync to sim” actually do? Nothing as far as I can tell. I import… Load… The flight via the fmc… And all it does is load origin and destination. Useless to me. What happened to my flight plan?

Hi…,

Welcome.

When you create and Generate a flight plan in SimBrief, you often have the SID/STAR and enroute waypoints included in the Route section of SimBrief e.g.

YMML/27 N0459F370 DOSEL1 DOSEL Y59 RIVET RIVET3 YSSY/16R

There are other flight plans you can choose:

When you load the flight plan into the FMC, you should get the SID/STAR waypoints included in the Legs page:

When Simlink is installed, the coordinates of your current position are passed to our servers. If you display a Chart, the servers place a Magenta icon on the map where you are located, sp providing movng map functionality:

Ian. Good morning from Thailand. Thanks so much for the useful answer.

So I should be using Simbrief… Like I used to 1 year ago… To create and then generate a plan. Ok fine.

The what’s navigraph in game panel for?

Thanks for your help and patience.

I’ve searched for YouTube tutorials… But haven’t found a comprehensive soup to nuts step by step for airliners…

The In-Game-Panel provides Navigraph Charts inside the MSFS application. It is useful for Virtual Reality. If you don’t use VR, then you can run Charts as a separate task to MSFS, without the performance limits of running under the MSFS environment.

I just tried again… created a flight using Simbrief egbb to egll …in the pmdg 737 only 2 waypointsw were imported… this has happened at least 5x…DTY and WCO…

this is wrong

No it is not, actually it is a correct route according UK SRD as noted in Simbrief as a NATS routing.

You need to add the SID STAR via the PMDG FMC which is again the correct procedure.
