Hi
After reading all the posts about this topic (apparently a lot of people have this problem) and trying all the suggested solutions (uninstall/deleting left-overs/reinstall with AV and FW disabled) I am still unable to login to FMS Data Manager. I also synchronised the time but without success.
I entered the same credentials as the ones that I am using to successfully login to the website; I am 100% sure the email address and password are correctly entered. I tried a password reset to be sure that I am actually using the right password. All without success.
I did a manual install for my add-ons for now, but I would prefer to use the FMS Data manager.
Please advise.
Regards
John
Hi John,
Welcome.
What happens when you try to login? Please post screenshots showing any errors using Guide to posting Screenshots

After login I get the reply that username or password is incorrect. AV and Firewall are both off (programs stopped). Same after uninstalling/deleting left-overs/reinstall with a fresh download.
Screenshot:
In the log file I see the following errors:
[2023-05-12 18:26:25][6][1] - CInitializer::onUserInitializeFailed [D:\Development\Repositories\Navigraph\fmsdata-manager\NGFMSClient\cinitializer.cpp:115]: {
“error”: “Access token was not found.”
}
[2023-05-12 18:26:45][CRestUtilities::httpPost]: endpoint=http://www.navigraph.com/api/1/token?grant_type=password
Received REST error from server.
[2023-05-12 18:26:46][6][0] - CInitializer::onUserInitializeFailed [D:\Development\Repositories\Navigraph\fmsdata-manager\NGFMSClient\cinitializer.cpp:115]: {
“error”: “Email and password does not match.”
}

“error”: “Unable to fetch server address.”
}
I once again tried all suggestions from previous threads about this subject:
- stop AV and Firewall (no uninstall; just exit program)
- uninstall Navigraph FMS data manager
- delete leftover folders conform instruction
- install newly downloaded FMS Data manager
- tried to login once again: no luck, same error
- reset password; new password without capitals, only lowercase characters letters and numbers
- tried to login once again: no luck, same error
- time sync to be absolutely sure that the time is correct
- tried to login once again; no luck, same error
- changed date/time settings to another region (English US)
- tried to login once again; no luck, same error
This is on a Windows 10 computer.
I am out of options.

John
Hi …,
Checking you have indeed entered the correct password,
I suggest a fresh start using exact procedure below :
Please disable any Antivirus and firewall. Uninstall AV if needed.
In FMS Data Manager Settings Unregister Account:
Use Windows to uninstall FMS Data Manager. Specifically:
- Press Start and open Apps & Features.
- On the right hand side, open Programs and Features.
- Find Navigraph FMS Data Manager in the list, select it, and press the Uninstall button above.
If they exist, delete folders:
c:\ProgramData\Navigraph and c:\Program Files (x86)\Navigraph.
Download and install latest FMS Data Manager to the default location.
Please let us know how you get on.
Cheers

Hi John,
Your country address was set as Curacao. We think this should be Ireland and have changed it. Please confirm, try again and advise.

Hi Ian
That I never could have guessed as a solution. Why would I have to choose Ireland as my country while I actually live in Curaçao? I think you should talk to your developers how they determine in which country someone lives. I don’t use a VPN so my IP-address, if that is used by your developers to determine where someone lives, should indicate Curaçao. Also location, if that is used to determine where I live, would indicate Curaçao.
But it worked. I am now able to login to FMS Data Manager. Strangely enough though: now my local time is for sure out-of-sync with the local time for Ireland. Something is wrong in the application.
Regards
John
