Flight plan doesn't match PFD in MSFS24

As the title says, I created a flight path on simbrief.

KIAD/30 N0116F040 DCT CSN/N0111F030 DCT EPICS IRONS7 KDCA/01

When in-game, I load the flight plan via the EFB and send to ATC/Avionics. But the route on the MFD stops at EPICS and that’s it. I don’t know why this is happening but it’s not the first instance when creating custom flight plans. Any ideas?

I noticed big issues with the EFB loading flightplans after Navigraph’s last AIRAC cycle update. Sometimes it loads them incorrectly, misses waypoints, or altogether won’t even load anything onto the display, but will say loaded, will show the FP in FLP, but only wants to direct to destination airport and won’t do anything else. Has been working flawlessly for me for weeks, and now not a single flight plan will load correctly as of yesterday.

Can a moderator respond? I tried creating a FP directly in game with sim brief and it wont import correctly.

I just loaded your flight plan into Simbrief dispatch and imported into the MSFS 2024 737 Max

or with OLS RWY 01

The IRONS7 STAR has Vectors after IRONS.

So I believe the flight plan is being imported OK.

Hi Ian,

My issue/bug is with the EFB not showing an approach without a restart or more recently, not even showing a destination. So I’m not sure why it’s occurring with me but not you.

In Navigraph Hub, make sure you have installed the latest SimBrief EFB:

Yup, all of that was done. I sometimes have to re-login when loading up the sim each time.

In the Hub above, click on Remove/Install SimBrief EFB App 1 1.0.0-beta.4 again.

Restart machine.

If still an issue, please advise:

  • Which aircraft. Have you tried others?
  • Screenshots of specific steps taken with results using Guide to posting Screenshots so we can replicate.

I am using the Cessna 172. I haven’t tried other aircraft. Please see screenshots below. Thanks for your help!

The steps below are how I input a flight plan into sim brief and then into the sims EFB. Please correct my understanding.

I want to fly an ILS approach from KIAD to KDCA. I do not know the waypoints, but I wish to practice this ILS approach specifically. In simbrief, I enter in departure airport and destination. For now, I choose a suggested route, KIAD/30 N0112F030 DCT YACKK DCT KDCA/01

I generate the route and import. The flight plan loads up on the sims EFB.

As previously stated, I want to do an ILS approach. I change my approach procedure to reflect this.

(Flight plan looks good on world map)

MFD doesn’t show the same flight path.

It has YACKK and then that is it.

So am I missing a step here? I am a novice to flying so maybe it’s something obvious I am missing with regards to the sim brief input or maybe I need to set it up in the MFD but then if that’s the case, why use simbrief?

I hope this helps clarify my issue. I look forward to your response.

Hi,
Sorry if I interfere here, but do you have our in-game panel installed?

When yes, can you uninstall it, and can you try all again, please? When no, then sorry for my question

Thank you very much,
Richard

I had it installed. I uninstalled and reinstalled it as requested. Thank you!

No, please uninstall it (not re-install it) and try your scenario (without the in-game panel) again please. That was what I meant

Cheers,
Richard

Ahhh ok lol. I’ll give that a go later today and let you know.

Nope, that didn’t work. No matter if I create the flight plan on simbrief (web) or in the sim’s EFB, it either gives me coordinates for the waypoint or it won’t load the waypoint or even destination after generating and importing. In the EFB, I will manually add them in but then in game, the MFD does not show the correct plan. How is it that mine is messing up this bad but you all aren’t having these issues?

I think it may be an AIRAC issue as well. Is there a way to go back to the previous cycle to check for sure?

I too seem to be facing this issue.

Simply put as the OP, I generate the relevant FP in SB, import it into the game as per the above, everything seems to be fine but then in the onboard FP on the G1000 in the 172 and others it simply does not load the correct flightplan - either missing destinations, waypoints etc or not importing headings etc.

This was working flawlessly since the most recent AIRAC

@NAVDataOld @Ian

Could you please look into this a little more? It’s working fine in XP11. Would appreciate a response!

Is this related to: Waypoints Missing after install of AIRAC from Navigraph Hub ???

As I understand, you are importing SimBrief flight plan:
KIAD/30 DCT N0112F030 DCT YACKK DCT KDCA/01

In the MFD, you (and I) show the link between KIAD and YACKK. You haven’t yet programmed the ILS into the MFD, as you have on the world map.

I am no expert on programming the G1000. Maybe others can clarify the difficulty you are experiencing.

Maybe explain what is “working” in X-Plane 11 but not in MSFS 2024?

Cheers
Ian

Ian,

I believe this is related to Waypoints Missing after install of AIRAC from Navigraph Hub - #10 by VGuixer it has to be as this is the same problem im facing along with others - there’s about 3 or 4 different threads all with the same issue.

When you use Import from the EFB in 24, it says it’s successful but then if you check the flight plan it seems to drop waypoints or not set destinations/waypoints bascially meaning your flight plan is not imported over at all for example:

vs

This is when using this route for example:

No destination, no enroute - this only happened since the latest round of updates im 100% sure.

I can get around it as others have by uninstalling and re-installing but it’s a heck of a faff around.

Thanks - do let me know if you need any further information?
