I have seen a number of users encountering this issue on both Reddit and the MSFS 2024 forums
From Simbrief tab in the EFB in MSFS 2024:
-Plan a flight (any flight, I tried 5 different flight plans)
-Analysis green–>Generate
-Import Flight->
-Shows “loading flightplan” then pauses and crashes to desktop
-This happens 100% of the time
Hi,
Are you able to provide the route your are trying to import?
Thank you,
Jack
Sure. Where do I find the actual flight files?
If you go to your generated flight plan on the SimBrief site, you should find it under the “Route” section. I’ve attached a picture for reference
But like I said above…It fails on all flights
Do you have our navigation data installed?
I have all the products intalled via Navigraph hub. Is there something else I can try?
I am seeing the same issue. It started today, so I’m not sure what is going on. It happens each time I try to import a flight plan from SimBrief in the EFB. I have even deleted and reinstalled the EFB plug-in.
The latest flight plan is
CCB6/04 N0272F220 DCT EBKID Q29 CABCI Q913 RAKAM DCT CNJ4/04
Note: It does not appear that there is actually a runway 4 at either airport. It feels like there is a bug in the Navdata. I have tried using Navigraph Hub to install the latest Airac and the problem persists.
Does this problem also exist for base simulator navdata?
No. The base simulator (and LittleNavMap) recognize there is no runway 4.
OP Update…Installed new data in from the link provided. I can now create “New” flights and import them. Any flights created previously will still cause a CTD on import…Resolved for now I guess?
Problem has returned…Crashing to desktop every time again
Same issue started for me yesterday. I am using the latest beta update for MSFS2024.
