I departed EICK on RWY34 via the VAPA1N SID. The navigraph charts correctly indicate that the departure turns east, north of the city.
However, when I selected the VAPA1N SID in the MCDU of my Fenix A319, the ND displayed a very early right turn after takeoff.
If I had followed the indicated nav path of the displayed SID, it would have turned eastbound much earlier (over the city) than what the VAPA1N defines.
It seems like the VAPA1N SID actually follows the path of VAPA1T.
Hi,
do I understand you correctly and can you confirm that the turn starts prior the 2500 (at or above) feet altitude restriction?
Can you confirm this? Because this is the only restriction what the charts say and what we also have in the data. So normally the turn starts immediately after the a/c has reached the altitude - so there is no fix point for that. It depends on the climb rate of the a/c.
Possible I misunderstood you here, so please confirm that when you’re flying this SID that the turns begin really before the +2500 feet.
