Different data in Simbrief and Navigraph

I come from Germany and have had the German text translated using DeepL. I apologize for any errors.

Hello FS-community,

I have a few questions that I will summarize at the end:

  1. I am planning a flight from Amsterdam to Copenhagen in the simbrief. Let’s concentrate on the approach, because that’s where I have the problem. From the point TUDLO I select the approach TUDLA3A, which does not take me to the runway but only to the transition ERPUK. From there, however, the SimBrief takes me directly to runway 04L on an inclined approach.

  1. if I now look at this matter in Navigraph, I can then add the transition ERPUK there and lo and behold, a perfect approach to runway 04L.

  1. and if I now enter this plan manually in Flusi in a PMDG Boeing 737, then I can only enter a transition called KAS, which - what a surprise - does not find a connection to ERPEK.

My questions:

  1. how do I enter the transition in the simbrief ?

  2. shouldn’t the data between Simbrief and Navigraph be identical (Navigraph subscription available and active)?

  3. shouldn’t the data also be synchronized in the PMDG Boeing 373 (executed with the Navigraph hub) ?

Hi,

SimBrief is a pre-flight planning tool. Much like the real-world flight planning tools it is based on, approaches and approach transitions are not included in the flight plan.

Navigraph Charts is an in-cockpit/EFB tool, meant to be used once you are actually in the cockpit. The typical flow would be to plan the flight in SimBrief, then import it into Charts and select your approach and transition as necessary based on what ATC assigns you.

Best regards,
