Custom Waypoints with Degrees/Minutes/Seconds

Hi Team

Wonder if you can help with a small issue encountered yesterday when compiling a Simbrief FPL GCXO-GCTS in X-Plane 11.

Departing on a NW heading from RWY30 at TFN following the LPC5J SID to WP ARTEM to make a custom landing on RWY07 at TFS via two custom fixes.

I note that you can use a simple Degrees/Minutes as 2810N as an example, but if I wanted to add FIX01 as N28 05’ 00" W016 05’ 00" and FIX02 as N27 50’ 00" W016 49’ 00" (or similar) but I have no idea on how to create these points that would pass IFPS validation.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Hi Paul,

Custom waypoints can be entered in the format 00N000W for whole degrees, 0000N00000W for minutes, and 000000N0000000W for seconds. So in your example:

Coordinates Route Point
N28 05’ 00" W016 05’ 00" → 2805N01605W
N27 50’ 00" W016 49’ 00" → 2750N01649W
