Simbrief will not recognize the precise formats for coordinates as in this quote from the user guide
" 59N140W is a custom lat/long waypoint which translates to 59° North by 140° West . More precise coordinates can also be entered, for example: 59°17’30"N 140°32’12"W can be entered as 591730N1403212W .
I can enter 59N140W but not 591730N1403212W. It gives a message that the latter is not recognized.
I didn’t know there was a cap. Let me try again with fewer digits. I guess I took the SimBrief on coordinates help as just a general example of being able to use more details.
My input was accepted if I backed off to 56N132W, I didn’t try anything in between. Sorry I troubled you.
I have no problem with math. Thank you so very much for the attention you gave. My stupidity was in not recognizing that I needed to convert from the data I was pulling from FlightAware. I have entered my custom waypoint successfully in SimBrief and have the results I was looking for…
