Cruise Flight Level issue

Why do I see a difference in the flight plan Cruise Level to the OPF Cruise Flight Level ?

Normally the OFP “Cruise Flight Level” is one level lower than the actual Flight Plan Cruise Flight Level. (but not every time)

I’ve seen other posts where people are saying it’s because the level if the first in step climb, but I have step climb off.

Seem the logical for the OFP 1 details, the Cruise Flight Level should be the actual flight level.

Can Support comment please?

Hi, can you provide screenshots of the 2 places where you are seeing different flight levels?

The flight levels are consistent on your recent SimBrief OFPs, so I can only assume you are talking about the level displayed in a third party add-on perhaps. Please provide a screenshot.

Best regards,

Hi, thanks for reply.
Attached should be the OFP1 PDF which shows the Cruise Flight Level both at start as CRZ FL FL320 and further down on page 2, the TOC as FL320, then Page 5 as TOD FL320.

But once imported into the PMDG 738, the flight plan shows a max level of FL361.

It is that difference I have an issue with.

Thanks for the screenshots.

As far as I know PMDG does not import the cruise altitude from SimBrief. You’ll need to contact them directly with your question, I am not sure why they are inserting the max altitude here.

Thank you, I will do.

Just to complete this for anyone reading.
PMDG Reply was:
“We are not pulling the simbrief FL at all. We are using internal calculation to provide the most efficient FL for the requested flight. The one on Simbrief flight plan in 90% of the cases is not the most efficient one.”
and
“As I wrote this is how we designed it. We are not planning to do any changes on this. I am afraid is not possible to accommodate any user request”
