AIRAC 2413 Beta and Charts Beta addons for MSFS 2024 causing problems?

Jaap, I can confirm it … I can reproduce it precisely in the way you have posted.

Good finding Jaap, excellent. Thank you very much … one step ahead I think.

Cheers
Richard

Just caught up with this topic!
Re - enabling all except the in game panel solves it for me too. Thanks for the replies, and to Jaap for nailing the problem to the in game panel.

I have added this issue to our system. The responsible person will look into it, but please be patient. Most of us are also on holiday, so please give us a little bit more time to fix this!

Thank you very much, and again, to Jaap, a GREAT THANK YOU for your effort and your help here! That´s what I like about this community. Great stuff.

Cheers,
Richard

No rush Richard, we have a workaround. Thanks for your help and enjoy your time off!

Thanks!
Jaap

Unfortunately, the next day it didn’t work again somehow. I do hope importing flights from Simbrief will eventually work again…

Hi Jaap,
I´m currently working on a new revision that should solve a few things. Testing is very time-consuming but more necessary, as with the previous one, it seems. The “unknown” thing here is that we can´t exclude that this is also an MSFS issue with the different avionic frameworks (or whatever) they use in their sim.

We do our best to solve all these issues, but it´s not easy without any background information from ASOBO/MS or support. But we will reach the finish line, that’s for sure.

When we don´t read us again - HAPPY 2025 and all the best for the new upcoming year Jaap!

Cheers,
Richard

Hi Richard,

Thanks for the update, I also have one. Strangely enough we couldn’t reproduce the fix by turning off the IN PANEL GAME so I started all over again. What I have done is simply removed the 2413 AIRAC and replaced it with the 2412 AIRAC, now everything works great again so I am convinced that the current AIRAC is the problem with importing flightplans in 2024.

Having said that, I am by no means a specialist but everything works great again by using the 2412 AIRAC and not the latest 2413 version.

Thanks again and have a great newyearseve and a wonderfull 2025!

Best regards,

Jaap.

Hi Jaap,
Thank you very much. I’m working hard on a new revision, and I hope to release it in the next couple of days. I´m sorry for the trouble and the inconvenience. I´m pretty sure that the next revision will be more stable than the current one.

I also wish you a good and healthy New Year 2025. Thanks for your effort in the last couple of days and your trust in us. It is much appreciated.

Cheers,
Richard

Never be sorry, it is all part of our great hobby! I love the fact that we are all part of a community that is working on something that a lot of people enjoy. Plus what we see what Navigraph has done in the past years and the speed of new developments, it’s all great and it wouldn’t be the same without Navigraph!

I experience issues with the default avionics in MSFS 2024 (tested with the Asobo C172 G1000) not being able to tune to most nav beacons (example: STUTTGART VORDME). They are also not shown in the flight planner map. I installed the 2413 Beta and the Charts Addin at the same time so I cannot tell which one caused it. Will try removing charts first.

Removing all plugins, i. e. Simbrief, Charts, G1000, etc., did not help. After that, I removed and reinstalled the Cycle and now have all radio beacons again, but was missing an ILS on my first flight (IKBW in EDSB).

Unfortunately, I have exactly the same issues with the new 2501 AIRAC…

  • ABNED is not to be found…
  • SOMEL is not found…

When I go back 2 AIRACS, I don’t have these problems. So it looks like that the 2 latest AIRACS have the same problems…

Hi,
Cycle 2501 was still built with the old parser. We are still waiting for an answer from ASOBO/MS to several questions in their dev forum. Without any success, there is no response at the moment.

The main issue here, in nearly all cases, is the package loading order. In MSFS 2020, you could control which package would be loaded when, which package would be higher, and which package would be lower.

That is simply impossible in MSFS 2024—or we don´t know how this is possible. We have opened a ticket in the MSFS dev forum to clarify this question, but as I wrote before, it looks like ASOBO/MS ignores us.

Here the posting, it´s from the end of December 2024:

Only as an example - the report with the STG (Stuttgart VORDME) - I can set it:

… a second ABNED & SOMEL:

You see, the data are included and also available, but for some reason, our data package will be loaded so early that any other package will overrule our data. We have no influence on that because we don´t know the load-order rules in MSFS 2024, and as you see in our question in the DEV forum, ASOBO/MS doesn´t answer our question about this.

I’m sorry, but we have reached a point where it is very hard to move forward without any support from ASOBO/MS and without getting answers to our questions, …

Cheers,
Richard

Hi Richard,

Thanks for clarifying this, I guess the only thing that can be done is wait for MS/Asobo to react.

Regards,
Jaap

Ps: will you also visit the FlightSim weekend in Lelystad (Netherlands) this March? (I know Navigraph will be there)

I´m honest—yes, unfortunately, but that does not mean that we stopped developing. We are still working on improvements for 2024 to offer the same quality as in all other sims/addons, but I will be sure that I don´t have any question marks opened for the next revision/cycle.

We spent a lot of time in 2020/24 to understand how the sim works, but sometimes, you can´t proceed due to missing information. It´s sad, frustrating, and hard to understand because we have tried for more than 20 years to keep happy users with our service, our innovation, and our team spirit. We try to live the approach “with the community for the community.” It’s not just a saying; we also live by this saying—comparing with other companies.

Cheers,
Richard

PS: no, I´m sorry - I´m not in Lelystad, but there are a lot of others from our team there

When I look how often you guys come up with improvements and new functions, we have nothing to complain about. It is highly appreciated! There is only one thing that we (our flight group) and I’m sure, many others, would like to have someday is the option to follow a group flight in Navigraph (what Aivlasoft had and Little Navmap for example) we would love to see that in Navigraph someday!!

Thanks again Richard!

Jaap.
