Simbrief flightplan not loaded after MSFS2024 SU1 update

After the SU1 update of MSFS2024 there are another possibly related issue that I have not seen since the last Navigraph Beta update (but fixed after it). When loading an aircraft and starting the FMS, I would sometimes notice that there was no magenta line from dep to dest airport on the Map,then even if the FP is loaded from Simbrief and displayed in the FP list in the FMS, the route would not display on the Map, the NAV mode did not function and then it is a no-go, start over. BTW if i load a route between stock airports (i.e. ESSV - ESOW) all works fine but if one of the airports is a third part custom scenery (even if 2024 native or compatible i.e. LFMN-LIEO ) the route won’t load.
Is this related to data loading issues? Why with third party airports only ?

I have the same kind of problem. Flightplans made by Navigraph itself cannot be imported into my plane (MSFS2024). The NAV mode cannot be enabled. My solution is to disable all Navigraph addons with the Navigraph Hub and enable them afterwards. Then it works fine for some time only.

Same problem with importing a Simbrief flightplan.

Well, after some tryouts ; if i keep all the Navigraph plugins working, I can plan with Simbrief and import the flight plans into the FMS only with the stock airports. If I use third-party airports the flight plan does not load, the magenta route line does not appear and the NAV mode does not work.
If instead I deactivate the Navigraph EFB charts and Simbrief EFB app plugins by the Hub, everything works fine, even with third-party airports, and I can import the flight plans into the FMS, with the NAV mode working perfectly. It would therefore seem that the problem is caused by the EFB-related plugins.

This may be fully expected due to changes made in 2024 compared to 2020 with regard to the package loading order. See this related post:

To confirm this, please follow these instructions when loaded into one of these affected 3rd party airports:

Do you still have Navigraph Beta AIRAC installed or are you removing that as well?
What are you using to load the route without the EFB addons?

Kind Regards,
Malte

Yes, i’m sill using Navigraph Beta AIRAC and i load the route from Simbrief dispatch by the Simbrief command of the Longitude FMS (which is currently also misaligned on the screen, resulting in it being partially hidden ) BTW following the Bovenbaas solution ,to disable all Navigraph addons with the Navigraph Hub and enable them afterwards seems to work fine with any airports but only for some time (generally two flights before the bug is back)

.

New error message never seen before…

Do you by any chance have the same issue as in this other report?

The error means that the import failed because the navigation data in your simulator did not contain the expected navigation aid (BASIP in the LI region). This could be anything, including:

  • Incorrectly overriden navigation data (third party scenery can cause this)
  • Duplicate navigation data install (leftovers from a previous beta version of the AIRAC)

I am not flying a C700 like you are. I am flying a Cessna 208 Grand Caravan and, Simbrief does not load flight plans into the EFB on that plane either. I tried all of the above, remove all addons, re-installed just what I need to load a flight plan into the sim (Chart and Simbrief EFB with the latest AIRAC) using navigraph hub. I do not have 3rd party airports or anything in my community folder. Still, Simbrief does not work in ms2024 on that plane or any other plane I tried in ms2024 including the Longitude (I have to admit, I didn’t clean out my comuniy folder in the case of the Longitude)

What worked for me is the PMS50 GTN750 in-game panel. I was able to load a flight plan from Simbrief’s web site and display the flight plan in the G1000 gps unit and then turn off the PMS50 in-game panel.

I mean, this is not the way things should work but that is the only workaround that worded for me. “Frustrating” is the word I am looking for…

Hello! Thank you for the detailed report!

Can you provide me with a route I can use to reproduce your issues? Even if it affects all routes, I still need at least one route that fails for you. The whole route in text or a link to the SimBrief flight will do just fine!

Kind Regards,
Malte

Hi Skysail,

latest route with issues from Nice to Milan:

LFMN/04L BASI7A BASIP DCT EGHIN DCT ANAKI DCT GEN GEN5J LIML/35

The issue occurred both without third-party scenarios and with JustSim Nice Cote D’Azur for MSFS 2024

Many thanks for your attention.

Thank you! I was asking @AltitudeAviation34 , but I tried your route as well and this is the result:

What issue did you have? This is with the latest beta AIRAC (2502 rev.1) installed.

Well, this is the plugins installed

this is the corresponding folders in Community

---- EDIT -----
It seems that I have discovered what causes the problem. During my flights I use the FS HUD program for air traffic control and ATC. This program imports the flight plan directly from Simbrief. Now, if I launch FS HUD first and then MSFS2024 (as per instructions) when I go to load the flight plan directly from Simbrief dispatch into the FMS the bug described occurs, that is, the route is not displayed and the NAV mode does not work. If instead I first launch the simulator then the flight and load the flight plan, this is loaded correctly with the route displayed and the NAV mode working, and then, if only at this point, I launch FS HUD and load the flight plan into the ATC everything works correctly. It is as if loading FS HUD first would somehow affect the correct loading of the flight plan operated by the Navigraph plugin

Hmm, that is an interesting insight. Can you reliably reproduce this? That is, do you never have issues if FS HUD is not started, and do you always have issues when it is running?

I took some time to do some tests.
First I did five flights activating msfs first, then importing the flight plan from Simbrief dispatch into the FMS and then activating FS Hud, everything worked perfectly with both stock and third party airports five out of five ok.
Then I did the same (with the same routes) activating FS Hud first, and out of five imports of the flight plan from Simbrief into the FMS, three times it did not load…
So if I activate msfs first and then FS Hud I have no problems but if I do the opposite three times out of five it gave me problems.
So not always but often.
Please note that the problem occurs when I load FS Hud before MSFS (so before importing the flight plan from Simbrief) If I activate FS HUd after I have loaded the flight plan, and therefore with FS Hud running, I have no problem. I’ve also noticed that in this case FS Hud is a little longer to load the flightplan itself.

Just to mention that with the latest Navigraph updates all the bugs disappeared and i can load the flightplans from Simbrief even loading FS HUD before the flight with no issues ! All works flawless !!
