Here’s an example flight plan that hung on import: SimBrief - Dispatch
This hung in MSFS2024 using the Longitude import with only the AIRAC and G5000 plugin installed. Uninstalling the AIRAC and using just the plugin does successfully import without hanging.
Unfortunately, without the AIRAC subsequent flight plans:
fail to import with an error that they are missing points (yet typing in the same flight plan manually, including the reported missing waypoints, works??)
What am I supposed to do here? I normally would not surface these complaints in such a public manner but as best as I can tell, this is the only avenue I have to report.
I check the forums looking for solutions regularly. I am especially disheartened by posts from the Navigraph team saying “cannot reproduce”, etc. I’m not the only one with these issues, yet I feel like we are basically being treated as “welp, works on my machine”.

Thanks for the details and the sample flight plans. Do I understand correctly that you haven’t installed any other 3rd party scenery, mod, or other things? Is this correct?
I will look deeper into it now with your examples. Possibly, I will find the reason why that happened, but also, we have only limited debug possibility - we will see.

My community folder has the following items:
As mentioned in the original post, I have been installing and uninstalling the AIRAC to see if the observed issues are resolved. It’s currently uninstalled. The most recent version I had installed was 2503 rev.1 Beta.
I own the “Premium Deluxe” edition of MSFS2024.
When flying, I additionally have the following programs open which interact with the sim:
- Mobiflight (WASM)
- OnAir Company (SimConnect)
- Navigraph SimLink (& Charts)
- StreamDeck with PilotsDeck plugin (SimConnect / MF)
I will remove the orbx-volanta-aerocaches folder as it is not strictly necessary for my sim use. I can report in if that changes any thing, but the import hangs, while frequent, are not predictable so it may be a moment.
Ah, there’s one other symptom here, which is that even if the import doesn’t hang, other things about the FMS break in weird ways (such as flight plans not connecting, NAV mode not being able to be activated, etc).
With the 2503 AIRAC installed, this flight plan broke APR mode in the G5000: SimBrief - Dispatch
Obviously there’s no approach in the flight plan itself; I selected RNAV 07 via GABAR after originally importing the flightplan using the G5000 plugin in the plane (no EFB installed).
I have flown a substantial amount of flights without the AIRAC installed over the past few weeks due to the aforementioned issues, and this issue with NAV/APR/etc not working only happens when the AIRAC is installed.
