Noticed my CPU usage was unusually high tonight when I was just watching YouTube with the computer basically idle. I opened my task manager to see that it was using 20% of my CPU (i7-9700k OC to 5.1GHz). This was while idle, so it makes me wonder how bad it gets when I actually have my sim and Navigraph open. I’m currently on version 1.1.30.0607.
Hi,
Mostly Simlink application takes almost zero CPU in idle mode, but for more details can you please upload Simlink logs here?

I’m sorry to bring up this old topic again. But is there already a solution? When I use Simlink, the CPU usage (I7, 6 cores) rises and falls by about 15%, and the CPU fan makes corresponding noises. Apparently this has something to do with the Windows “Antimalware Service Executable” which uses most of the CPU. When I close Simlink, the virus software also falls back to 0%. I haven’t found a solution yet.
Hello,
Simlink is currently using only 0 to 2% of CPU. If you are running Windows Antimalware Service, please update its settings to allow the Simlink application to run and access the network.
If you continue to experience issues, please let us know.
Thank you.

Unfortunately, no improvement up to now! After starting X-Plane 12 simlink obviously triggers the (standard built in) “Antimalware Service Executable” and consumes about 25% CPU usage about every 1 second and the cooling fan follows this rhythm in howling up and downs.
What may be quite interesting to you:
the dlog file of simlink reports:
[1.1.36.1011] [DEBUG] MSFS 2020 is detected, try to connect…
But I’m ONLY on X-Plane and never installed the MSFS2020. After running X-Plane for about 3 hours the logfile has collected more than 5 Mbyte reporting repeatly the following 5 lines:
[1.1.36.1011] [DEBUG] Simlink Plugin Simulator Status:0
[1.1.36.1011] [DEBUG] MSFS 2020 is detected, try to connect… [1.1.36.1011] [DEBUG] MSFS2020 connection try to open
[1.1.36.1011] [DEBUG] MSFS2020 connection not to open
[1.1.36.1011] [DEBUG] MSFS2020 client connection failed, simulator is not started[0]
This protocol in the dlog file is extended every time as long as simlink runs. While I’m writing these lines it has exceeded 6 Mbytes…
… and I never installed MSFS 2020 on my computer. So why does simlink detects the MSFS and tries to connect to this not installed software?
