X-Plane 12 in FMS Notification Manager

Hello; is there going to be a direct method of loading the latest Navigraph data to X-Plane 12, as there is for versions 10 & 11? At present I seem to have to do it manually each time; also for the Flight Factor A320U and B757.
Any help gratefully received.

Hi…,

In FMS Data Manager Settings page, check you have the latest Version:

If not uninstall, and download and install from FMS Data Manager

Further down that page, please post a screenshot of your X-Plane 12 path. Please confirm this where you have x-plane.exe located by using the black folder to navigate to and select x-plane.exe.

Cheers
Ian

Many thanks Ian!

I must have had an old version, and though i tried to download a newer one, it didn’t seem to help. Your link seems to have worked and I have loaded the new Mac version, as that is my platform. (Sorry, I should have mentioned that.)

What isn’t clear to me is how to make the Data Manager download automatically to my XP 12 folder. It now shows the correct path, but the download to XP 12 is still marked as “manual”. Also, how do I make the updates work for the XP 12 versions of specialised aircraft such as the Flight Factor A320U and B757?

Maybe this will work anyway automatically at the next update, but for the last one (2303), I have had to do them manually.

Thanks again for your swift reply

Just to add to what I wrote; here a couple of screenshots.

Hi Brian,

Please confirm the X-Plane 12 path is indeed where you have x-plane.exe located by using the black folder to navigate to and select x-plane.exe.

Also make you have the addon aicraft in your X-Plane 12\Aircraft\ folder e,g,

In Addon Mappings page select X-Plane 12 entry and Remove. Press Scan and then Save .You should have X-Plane 12 and X-Plane 12 addons detected and show as Automatic. If not you will need to click on +Add to add them.

Please let us know how you get on.

Sorry, I may still be missing a trick here. I scanned as you suggested, but cannot get the Data Manager to recognise the X-Plane12.app as such. It has found all sorts of other connections, even some I am not switching to XP12 but baulks at the standard XP12 app. When I use the black folder navigation system, I get to the .app, but when I click on that, it just goes on wanting more links and doesn’t recognise the app. I enclose a few screenshots in the hope that explains better than I can…

Still a bit stuck I’m afraid.

Hi Brian,

In FMS Data Manager Settings, make sure you have the latest version:

Otherwise download from Navigraph

It looks as if you have the correct X-Plane 12 path.

For information mine looks like:

Also make sure you have your addon aircraft in the Aircraft folder and not in other subfolders:

In Addon Mappings page select and Remove any X-Plane 12 and X-Plane 12 addon entries.

With latest version and correct folders, Scan should now detect the X-Plane 12 and X-Plane 12 addon entries automatically. If not you will need to press +Add and proceed for X-Plane 12 and X-Plane GNS430…and each X-Plane 12.

Cheers
Ian
