Wrong RWY EDDB

I just subscribed last month so maybe you there is already a solution to my problem and I’m just not aware of it yet.

In Berlin EDDB are still the old runway in my MCDU even tho I got the latest AIRAC installed.

Any suggestions what I can do?

Hi,
First of all, welcome to Navigraph.

A few more details could be helpful here:

  • Which sim do you use?
  • Which addon do you use?
  • Do you use any 3rd party scenery?

Further, can you confirm that the stock sim-scenery shows the new runway idents? When not, it´s a sim issue when the add-on uses the in-game navdata and not an external one. So, an important question …

Thank you
Richard

Hi. Thanks for the quick reply.

I use the MSFS 2020
The Aircraft is the FBW A320
I ain’t got any 3rd Party Scenery for Berlin. Just the default that comes with the MSFS. I haven’t edited anything with the scenery or the flight sim.

Ok, thank you very much for the details.

Then we have the answer:
FBW uses the in-game data, which is based on the stock scenery. In MSFS2020, EDDB still has the old runway-idents; therefore, you see the old runways.

Further, the MSFS2020 doesn´t show terminal procedures when the procedures can´t be assigned to an existing runway in the sim. When you have a SID, STAR, or an approach on a specific runway, which doesn´t exist in the scenery (stock or 3rd party), these procedures will not be visible and can´t be selected even when you have it in your data.

That is an MSFS2020 limitation and has nothing to do with the data, sorry.

Cheers,
Richard

Do you have any suggestion how I can fix this?

Use/buy a third-party scenery (I know that Aerosoft has made an updated version for EDDB, but possibly other payware/freeware add-on designers, too) that includes the correct runway idents. Then, you will see the correct runways, and you can use the terminal procedures for these runways. You still have the data on your system, so no additional task from our side is necessary.

Cheers,
Richard

Thanks for the Info appreciated
