I recently purchased the Black Square Analog King Air and Bonanza and have been enjoying flying the old school panels with ADF and early RNAV implementation. I have made a few flightplans with NDB approaches and now notice the NDB charts are disappearing and no longer available to view although i can program them into the flightplan. For example EBOS and LDRI are most recent flightplans I have been working on and now that I am ready to fly the charts are no longer viewable.
The EBOS NDB chart has re-appeared! LDRI NDB is still absent.
Hello Zane, welcome to the forum!
To begin with, please be aware that the available charts can change depending on what “Chart Mode” you have selected, be it STD
or CAO
. Perhaps this could explain the re-appearance? Additionally, procedures and their corresponding charts can be removed from one AIRAC to the other.
Second, if you believe that there are missing charts and/or procedures, please provide an official source that we can use to verify your case. A great source of this information would be the AIP.
In this case, I don’t think we’re missing anything that is listed in the AIP. Perhaps I am missing something?
Kind Regards,
Malte
Thank you Malte,
I found that some of the NDB approach plates have become Lctr approach plates and those don’t seem to be selectable from within the map view. You can select the NDB approach and the routing will show on the map. To find the plate you have to go into the airport menu and select charts, then APP which will show all the approach plates and the Lctr plate will be there and you can select the full plate to view. The Lctr are for lo power transmitters. At EBOS the NDB rwy 26 will show in the map view, the NDB rwy 8 won’t but you can find the Lctr for 8 in the airport menu and pin it.
Thank you for confirming! Unfortunately, the connection between what we can show you on the map (the navigational data) and the charts isn’t always perfect due to missing source data. This can result in procedures that do not link to any charts. While we do our best to handle such situations, it is not always possible. Apologies for the inconvenience!
Given this information, is there anything else that you would like me to clarify?
No apologies necessary. I am in awe with Navigraph’s work and knowing how to find the charts if not inherently linked allows me to get and pin the needed chart.
