Hello Malte, as you have wished, here is my question about the issue I have shown in the discord.
I have just made several flights from Italian airports and have noticed strange errors in the transfer of SID flight paths from Navigraph to MSFS 2020.
Departure: LIMC 35R
SID :SRN6L with transition OSK5S
Hi,
I can’t really answer it because we are not ASOBO/MS but what I can say is, that the MSFS Worldmap doesn’t support transitions. There are a lot of bugs and limitations in the MSFS routing.
The difference between these two transitions are the transitions itself. The SRN is “only” a one point transition SRN, but the OSK5S starts from SRN with additional waypoints.
Again, I can’t really answer what happened behind it but you have no possibility to select a transition like the SRN or OSK5S in the WorldMap. SRN works because the SID ends at SRN nothing more.
Sorry, that wecan’t give you anothee answer but this is a bug in the MSFS since day 1 in their internal flight managment and we can’t do more.
Therefore it’s highly recommended to load/insert the flightplans directly in your FMCs or Garmin instead to load it in the WorldMap. The procedures itself are correct, you see this in any other a/c which doesn’t use the buggy WorldMap flightmanagemt system behind.
Hi Richard,
thank you for your feedback, which confirms my assumption that it is due to these special transitions. So far, I have only encountered such transitions at Italian airports. So far so good.
I would like to implement your suggestion to read the data directly into the FMC. WorkingTitle’s CJ4 could do this, but with AAU1 this great function has been lost. Just like the display of the Jeppesen maps. I am very curious to see when Navigraph will make this possible again
