TOPCAT not updating to 2107

Hi, after updating my FMS Manager to 2107 TOPCAT when run shows 2106 yet FMS Manager shows 2107.

Thanks.

Hi,
so when you try to update your Topcat addon, it doesn´t look:

… it´s still 2016?

Cheers,
Richard

Hi Richard, yes that’s correct. I also tried a manual update and it’s the same 2106. I think the update database is 2106 by error.

Thanks.

Can you check, if your path is correct set in the “Addon Mappings” view (go with the mouse cursor over the line and here in the path-column).

It should be C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\TOPCAT

When this is not the case - remove the TOPCAT entry, Save it and make a re-“Scan” please

Cheers,
Richard

I did that Richard, same thing.

Ok, and you have these files in the folder which I posted above:

… when yes, please open the Database.tdb file via any somple text-editor (like notepad++ or similar else).
Here you should have these header-lines at the beginning

Cheers,
Richard

Yes, that’s what I have.

Have you tried to install the database manually in the Topcat (you find it under “Config” in the Topcat app)?

When you use the button "Install database … ", you should select
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\TOPCAT
and here the Database.tdb file. Possible you have changed the default path …

Cheers,
Richard

Yes I did that too, still the same.

This has never happened before it always went flawless.

Ok, then I have no more ideas …

The path is correct, the file is also correct and when you try to load the database manually directly in the app, that doesn´t also work. Strange … sorry, please contact the Topcat devs, I´m at my end here …

Possible un-install and re-install the app but I have no idea what happened with your aircraft profiles, so please be careful with this “idea”

Cheers,
Richard

OK, I’ll let you know if I am successful.

Thanks.

Sorry Michael, when I couldn´t really help …

Cheers,
Richard

Hi Richard,

I closed the program (again) and ran it (this time as Admin) and it updated the Nav Database. I don’t know why this happened today, as I always ran it without the admin privilege without this happening.

Thanks for the great support though.

Oh, cool - thanks for the tip … but indeed strange because normally you don´t need any admin privileges

Anyway, thanks for the feedback - I mark your answer as “solved”

Also, thanks for your kind words - take care and have a nice day,
Richard
