If I plan a flight using my laptop and then close that down, or leave it open, and move to the desktop PC where the sim is installed I notice the flightplan does not follow and all the planning needs to be repeated. Same when using Charts on the web browser and then switching to the in game panel within the game on the same PC.
What you are describing is not intentional behavior and I am not able to reproduce it myself. Are you sure that you are signed into the same account in all instances? You can find the account alias in the settings.
The flights are all stored in the same database, regardless of platform. If you plan a flight in the browser, reload the page and the flight is still present in the flights list - there is no reason why it would not show up on any and all other platforms.
Make sure that:
Everything is updated to the latest version
The list of flights is refreshed (restart app/panel to be sure)
I am looking at it now. The web based https://charts.navigraph.com/ on my laptop and the in game window on the desktop, both are using the same alias and both are showing different flight plans the in game panel is showing the flight plan form the last flight, not the current one planned on the web based planner even before I started the desktop PC. The in game panel is ver: 8.28.0 build inop-fix.
I did find another password for https://identity.api.navigraph.com/login on my system but that uses my email address as the alias and not the same as both sources of charts.
I’m no further forward and at a loss to explain this.
If the sorting is set to its default settings, you should find a flight from JFK to MIA at the top. Is that not what you see, and in that case what is the first flight in the list?
I think it was my missunderstanding. I do find it in there. I was expecting to find the latest flightplan loaded, not the last one, if that makes sense.
I think I know what you mean. The flights and their information is synced across platforms, but the flight that is currently loaded is not. That would require services that we do not have at the moment.
If I understood you correctly and you feel strongly about this becoming a feature, please post it in the wishlist section on this forum! That way we can gauge the general user interest.
Thanks, you have understood. I am happy now I have found the way to do what was trying without the double workload. There are more important things I think need looking at like the in game panel scaling when switching between 2d and VR. I can live with the way it syncs now I know.
Sounds good! We’ll keep this in mind for future updates, should it become a possibility!
I have updated the title to make it more discoverable for others who might be interested in the same thing. I have also moved the topic to the wishlist section, I hope you don’t mind!
